On Saturday, almost one year to the day that Russia invaded Ukraine, the left-wing anti-war group Code Pink finally found its voice — never mind that U.S. military spending in support of Ukraine’s war effort reached nearly $50 billion in 2022 alone.
Code Pink shared a video clip of a protestor politely confronting Biden while he was reportedly having dinner in Washington, D.C., with first lady Jill Biden.
“President Biden, I hate to bother you — we need to end this war in Ukraine,” the protester shouted. “We need to push through negotiations! I hate to bother you but people are dying.”

The crowd in the restaurant groaned a bit as she denounced the war in Ukraine, but really voiced their dissatisfaction when she called for ending the “blockade on Cuba.”
“I hate to bother you, I’ll happily leave but I hope that we push for peace talks and negotiations and take Cuba off the state sanctioned terrorist list,” the woman added.
The great irony here is that the confrontation came on the eve of President Biden making a “surprise visit” to Ukraine, where he committed to even more military aid — turns out, the White House gave Russia advanced notice of the trip.
Oddly, in what few could have seen coming, radical-left zealot Keith Olbermann came to Biden’s defense, supporting his war effort in Ukraine while denouncing Code Pink:

Support for funding Ukraine’s military has been wavering in the U.S., with many on the right calling on the Biden administration to negotiate a settlement between Russia and Ukraine — such an agreement was reportedly rejected by the Biden administration early on in the conflict.

A Pew Research survey conducted late last month found that one in four Americans say the U.S. is giving too much aid to Ukraine, up from 19 percent in September.
