‘Let’s be honest’: Rick Scott not buying Biden’s clean bill of health, as president snaps during presser

Florida Republican Sen. Rick Scott tore into 80-year-old President Biden during an interview on Thursday, declaring that he is unwell despite the White House physician giving him a clean bill of health, calling the commander-in-chief “incoherent, incapacitated, and confused.”

Scott made his comments during conservative pundit Hugh Hewitt’s radio show. He called for Biden to resign and declared that he was “the problem.”

“I mean, I live in Florida, there’s a lot of 80-year-olds that are very competent. He’s just not one of them,” Scott flatly asserted. “I mean he’s just not, he’s not a healthy person and he’s not a good communicator.”

“Let’s be honest here. Joe Biden is unwell. He’s unfit for office. He’s incoherent, incapacitated, and confused. He doesn’t know where he is half the time. He’s incapable of leading and he’s incapable of carrying out his duties. Period,” he heatedly added. “Everyone knows it. No one is willing to say it. But we have to, for the sake of the country. Joe Biden can’t do the job.”

The Florida senator has been slamming Biden ever since his State of the Union speech where the president falsely claimed that he wanted to cut Social Security and Medicare, which is not the case.

Biden attacked the senator for proposing that all federal legislation should be allowed to expire after five years. Scott had specifically said that entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare were off the table. That didn’t stop the president from running with the unfounded accusation.

“All federal legislation sunsets in five years. If a law is worth keeping, Congress can pass it again,” Scott previously stated.

Democrats pounced on it, selectively taking that statement out of context to bludgeon Republicans with it. Some RINOs such as Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) also came out against Scott’s plan.

Scott has even introduced legislation to increase funding for Social Security and Medicare, according to the Daily Mail. But he’s still getting hammered by the left who are pushing the dishonest talking point.

Biden visited Walter Reed on Thursday to complete his annual physical which had been delayed for several months. Unsurprisingly, his doctor gave him a clean bill of health. Not many buy that assessment these days and that includes Scott.

The president’s age and mental acuity will be front and center if he runs for reelection in 2024.

Former UN ambassador Nikki Haley, who has announced running for the GOP presidential nomination, is bucking to have politicians that are over the age of 75 take mental competency tests. That would not only apply to Biden, but former President Trump as well who is 76 and is running for the presidency.

Haley believes that Trump would pass the test but she doesn’t think Biden would.

“You know, I think he did great the last time he did it. I have no reason to think he wouldn’t do well this time,” Haley said in regard to Trump. “But do I think we need it.”

“We can’t have someone like Joe Biden, who’s asleep at the wheel, and have China sitting there threatening us and us wondering if he actually knows what’s going on,” the former South Carolina governor contended.

Highlighting Haley’s concerns are instances such as the one where Biden was questioned on his family’s business dealings with China on Thursday. He sneeringly laughed at the reporter who asked the question before stomping off, alluding to the fact that the intimation was rude.

“Is your ability to deal with China compromised by your family’s business relationships in China, President Biden?” a reporter for the New York Post asked following a seven-minute address on the Chinese balloon downing and the subsequent taking down of three other yet-to-be-identified objects.

At least four other reporters shouted over each other questioning the president. Biden chose to answer the New York Post reporter.

“Give me a break, man,” Biden said dismissively, laughing it off.

Two American TV journalists and reporters for Polish and Japanese outlets also hit Biden with a slew of questions. The New York Post reporter also asked, “Does your son still co-own a company with Chinese government entities?”

Attempting to contain his anger, Biden told NBC’s Peter Alexander while gesturing at the New York Post reporter, “You can come to my office and ask a question when you have more polite people with you.”
