Kari Lake makes no apologies when photo during Super Bowl’s ‘Black National Anthem’ goes viral

Republican Kari Lake may have been thwarted in her bid to become the governor of Arizona but her uncompromising stance against the worst abuses of the ruthless political left continues to serve as an inspiration to those who still believe in traditional American values.

On Sunday, the fiery former TV news anchor was among the crowd at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona for this year’s Super Bowl where she drew much attention for not standing during the singing of the ode “Lift Every Voice and Sing” or as it is more widely known, the “Black national anthem.”

Images of Lake, who remained in her seat as the alternate anthem – which some opined seemed “racist and divisive” – was belted out by Sheryl Lee Ralph prior to the REAL national anthem, went viral on Twitter with the defeated but undeterred candidate taking a defiant stance toward critics who would inevitably accuse her of racism.

“I’m just here for THE National Anthem,” Lake tweeted along with an emoji of the American flag and the image, adding to her already legendary stature.

“I’m against a ‘black National Anthem’ for the same reason I am against a ‘white National Anthem,’ a ‘gay National Anthem,’ a ‘straight National Anthem,’ a ‘Jewish National Anthem,’ a ‘Christian National Anthem,’ and so on,” Lake said in a Monday statement to Fox News Digital.

“We are ONE NATION, under God. Francis Scott Key’s words ring true for every single American Citizen regardless of their skin color. James Weldon Johnson’s ‘Lift Your Voice’ is a beautiful song, but it is not our National Anthem,” she added.

This year’s edition of professional football’s championship game was a testament to the triumph of the “woke” political movement that gestated for years in the belly of the beast on the nation’s college campuses before metastasizing throughout every institution in America, including the NFL which bent the knee to militant Colin Kaepernick and ran up the white flag of surrender to the Black Lives Matter mob when cities were looted and burned after the death of George Floyd during the summer of 2020.

Super Bowl 57 marked the left’s cultural dominance with its racial themes, tributes to blackness and propaganda so overwhelming that some, including the race-obsessed USA Today sports columnists, likened it to Wakanda, the fictitious black ethnostate from Marvel’s “Black Panther” movies.

“We had the Black national anthem, Rihanna and two Black starting quarterbacks for the first time ever. This wasn’t the Super Bowl. This was Wakanda,” Mike Freeman gloated in his postgame column for the outlet.

But Kari Lake wasn’t playing their game and her defiance was met with great approval from Twitter users.

“Kari Lake is a bad ass, she’s my hero,” wrote one fan in a sentiment echoed by many others.

“Kari Lake sat for the black national anthem. Good for her,” said another. “This country has ONE national anthem.”

Others pointed out the hypocrisy of those who would attack Lake but defended Kaepernick’s kneeling during “The Star-Spangled Banner” as being perfectly acceptable.

Other reactions to Lake’s declining to leave her seat for the fake anthem:

Mortified leftists howled in rage that Lake and other Republicans like Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado would dare to defy the ascendant race cult and the false religion for which the “1619 Project” serves as its bible.

Jennifer Rubin, the Washington Post’s neocon propaganda priestess wailed that the rejection of the “Black national anthem” is another “manifestation” of MAGA resentment and is rooted in the need for control over black people.

Modern American leftists may firmly control the media, entertainment industry, the government, the educational system, corporations and sports leagues, all of which promote their agenda, but they are unable to force it on those like Kari Lake who won’t bend the knee.
