Democrats continue to manipulate language to attack anyone who fails to fall in line with their identity class politics, which creates an entitled society that embraces victimhood over self-determination.
Case in point, U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., who employed divisive rhetoric to slam the Huntington Beach City Council for voting to only fly municipal, state, and federal flags outside City Hall, along with the POW/MIA flag.
The move was intended in the spirit of unity, as in one people, but Democrats like Schiff pounced to declare it an attack on the LGBTQ+ community, characterizing the action as “hate.”
“A conservative city council has banned the LGBTQ+ flag from government property in Huntington Beach. Another attempt to marginal LGBTQ+ individuals. But hate cannot be allowed to win. Not in California. Not anywhere,” Schiff tweeted.

The tweet was flagged with reader-added content, which read: “The city council voted to ONLY fly municipal/state/federal flags as well as the POW/MIA flag. No religious flags, no special interest group flags, etc.”
The 4-3 vote comes after a 6-0 vote in June 2021 to grant the LGBTQ+ community privileged treatment by allowing the Pride rainbow flag to be hoisted to recognize Pride Month — the make up of the council being altered after the midterm election to feature a conservative majority.
Among those who opposed the elimination of special treatment for the gay community was Braunwyn Windham-Burke, the first openly lesbian cast member of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” reality-TV show.
“Having a supportive community can make a kid feel more at home. A flag can save a child’s life,” Burke said at a city council meeting this week, according to CBS News.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from Twitter that suggests people are growing weary of the divisive behavior on the left:
Hate? Do you even know the meaning of the word? It’s not hate. It’s inappropriate to fly any flag but the American flag on government property. PERIOD! Stop pandering to a small minority and think about the greater good for once. https://t.co/Ugrwa17rzb

Maybe we should design a Heterosexual flag and see if he would support that too. Huntington Beach made the right decision! https://t.co/qNCVA2wYRq

Who you have sex with should never be put on a flag and hung in government buildings. That’s your business what you do in private but it doesn’t belong on a flag next to the American flag in a place of reverence and honor. Will you put up straight flags too? Totally ridiculous.… https://t.co/iggEkBduB0

The American and state flags sufficiently include the LGBTQ+ community.
Unless you are saying the LGBTQ+community is not American. Which would be weird. Is that what you are saying?

Give one good reason that a flag other than our nation’s flag or a state flag should fly on a government building? Why should one community get special treatment over another? Think things through for a change.

Only one or two flags (USA, state flag) belong there, and political activism doesn’t belong there. Why? Because Democracy means everyone gets a flag or no one gets a flag. Anything else is favoritism, which is un-Democratic.
