Biden boasts that ‘more than half the women’ in his admin ‘are women.’ I mean, what’s left to say?

It’s hard to say these days what may come out of President Joe Biden’s mouth but the odds are in your favor that whatever it may be, it’s likely not true.

Earlier this week the 80-year-old president spun a yarn about an Amtrak conductor who congratulated him for racking up one million miles commuting between his home in Delaware and Washington, D.C., with those keeping score noting that this was the eighth time he repeated a story that has been thoroughly debunked.

On Thursday, an even more bizarre incident took place as Biden marked the 30th anniversary of the Family and Medical Leave Act at the White House. Flanked by Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Bill Clinton, Biden boasted that “more than half the women” in his administration “are women.”

“But here’s what matters, more than half the women in my cabinet, more than half the people in my cabinet, more than half the women in my administration are women,” the president said.

Now, in normal times the remark could be dismissed as just another of Biden’s many, many flubs, but these are far from normal times. Living in a mixed-up, muddled up, shook-up world, where with little more than fleeting thought girls will be boys and boys will be girls, a world where the definition of a woman stumps Supreme Court justices, there was cause to reflect over Biden’s remark.

And where can you get more reflection than on Elon Musk’s free Twitter which once again allows humor?

Given the whole episode where now-Supreme Court Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson refused to offer a definition for the word “woman” during her confirmation hearing, responding by saying she is “not a biologist,” Biden’s comment drew the obvious question.

“How does Biden know they’re women? Is he a biologist?” Senate Conservatives executive director Mary Vought tweeted.

“I completely agree with the President here. More than half the women in his administration are women. He’s apparently not sure about the rest of the women in his administration,” tweeted Philip Holoway, a columnist for Townhall.com.

Here’s a quick sampling of other responses to the story from Twitter:
