David DePape called into local TV station after bodycam release, issued bone-chilling ‘apology’

Paul Pelosi’s attacker, David DePape, appears to be a psychopath whose brain is brimming with diabolical thoughts.

Indeed, after bodycam footage of his attack and arrest were released Friday, the 42-year-old dialed local station KTVU from jail to share some of these thoughts.

Not only did he express zero remorse for attacking Pelosi with a hammer, but DePape in fact apologized for not hurting more people.

Listen:

“Now that you all have seen the body cam footage, I have an important message for everyone in America: You’re welcome,” he began, acting as if the entire country was thankful for his deplorable attack on Pelosi.

“Freedom and liberty isn’t dying. It’s being killed systematically and deliberately. The people killing it have names and addresses. So I got their names and addresses so I could pay them a little visit. Have a heart to heart chat about their bad behavior,” he added, oblivious to how psychotic he evidently sounded.

Continuing his rant, DePape started to talk about the slow death of liberty — which is admittedly a real phenomenon.

“The tree of liberty needs watering. He needs men of valor, patriots willing to put their own lives on the line to stand in opposition to tyranny,” he said.

But then he went all psycho again and apologized for not hurting more people.

“I would also like to apologize. I want to apologize to everyone. I messed up. What I did was really bad. I’m so sorry I didn’t get more of them. It’s my own fault. No one else is to blame. I should’ve come better prepared,” he said.

“I spent all my time exposing government corruption online, only to have them silence my freedom of speech as quickly as they could. It circumvented the Constitution, private industry. And the ruling class outsources the recession of these civil rights to private industry. It’s called fascism,” DePape continued.

“I have a lot more to say. I had a website of over 300 pages. That’s 300 pages of stuff they don’t want you to hear. I’m in the process of trying to set up a new site out of the reach of tyrannical global fascists,” he concluded.

The problem is he’s reportedly behind bars, so he won’t be building a new site anytime soon.

“As of December, DePape remains in a San Francisco jail after he pleaded not guilty to attempted murder, false imprisonment of an elder, threatening the family member of a public official, battery causing serious bodily injury, and dissuading a witness from reporting a crime,” according to the Daily Mail.

That being said, what he said to KTVU is similar to what he said to investigators. As previously reported, on Friday the San Francisco Police Department released a recording of him being interrogated, and it was a wild ride from beginning to end.

At one point, the interrogator asked, “Was there a reason [for the attack]? Did you feel the Pelosis did something to you?”

In response, DePape said, “Not me specifically to me. But to the American public honestly. She was the leader of the pack.”

This prompted the interrogator to ask “how so,” to which DePape replied by embarking on a rant about the Democrat Party.

“F–king liars. It’s insane. She has to be like….(unintelligible) with Trump being in office. What they did was so far beyond. It’s just crazy…. It originates with Hillary, but Pelosi ran the lie, day in and day out. The person on TV lying every day was Pelosi,” he said.

“This is a record-breaking crime spree, the Democratic Party. They are criminals. They were submitting fake evidence to spy on rival campaigns….yeah, Trump. …It’s an endless f–king crime spree.. until they were able to steal the election,” he added.

The interrogator asked DePape about his intentions next.

“Well, I was going to basically hold her hostage. And I was going to talk to her,” DePape replied, adding that he had no regrets about what he did.

The interrogator then asked him why he didn’t just leave when the police arrived. That’s when DePape went into full “Founding Father” mode.

“Like the Founding Fathers. It’s like they fought the British. They fought the tyranny. When I left my house, I went to fight tyranny,” he said.

Sadly, DePape’s rhetoric is already being used to attack the Republican Party writ large, with the theory being that his views are representative of everyone in the party.

Yet whenever the reverse happens and a leftist commits a heinous act against a Republican, for some reason his or her views aren’t ascribed to all Democrats.

Meanwhile, some on the right have claimed DePape is really a leftist and that he’s been acting this way on purpose to smear Republicans.

In fairness to those who believe this, DePape lived at a home that had a Black Lives Matter sign and an LGBT rainbow flag. But on the other hand, it’s not been determined that he was the owner of the signs/flags.

Plus, why would any leftist ruin their own life just to own the cons?
