The “Twitter Files” have outed Pfizer board member and former FDA head Dr. Scott Gottlieb who evidently pressured Twitter to censor at least one tweet that took a stance against COVID vaccines and contended that natural immunity was more effective than the jab.
Reporter Alex Berenson revealed documents that purportedly show that Gottlieb used his influence to get Twitter to censor a tweet that cast doubt over the Pfizer vaccine’s effectiveness and went on to suggest natural immunity was more effective than submitting to inoculation.
Ironically, Berenson was permanently banned by Twitter and sued his way back onto the platform. He’s now helping Elon Musk expose what the company did previously in connection to suppressing diverging opinions during the pandemic.
The tweet that was censored was sent out by a former Government health official. It was labeled as “misleading” by Twitter.

It was posted by Dr. Brett Giroir, who was a government health official in the Trump administration. He touted that natural immunity was far more effective than vaccine-conferred immunity.
“It doesn’t stop infection. Or transmission. Don’t think of it as a vaccine. Think of it – at best – as a therapist with a limited window of efficacy and terrible side effect profile that must be dosed IN ADVANCE OF ILLNESS. And we want to mandate it? Insanity,” Giroir tweeted.
“The tweet explained correctly that natural immunity after COVID infection was superior to vaccine protection. It called on the White House to ‘follow the science’ and exempt people with natural immunity from upcoming vaccine mandates,” the reporter stated.
“It came not from an “anti-vaxxer” like Robert F. Kennedy Jr., but from Dr. Brett Giroir, a physician who had briefly followed Gottlieb as the head of the Food & Drug Administration. Further, the tweet actually encouraged people who did not have natural immunity to ‘Get vaccinated!'” Berenson continued.
If the mRNAs worked as promised this would all be a sideshow. It is their failure – deeper and more obvious by the week – that makes everything that happened in the last two years so urgent.

He noted on Substack, “By suggesting some people might not need COVID vaccinations, the tweet could raise questions about the shots. Besides being former FDA commissioner, a CNBC contributor, and a prominent voice on COVID public policy, Gottlieb was a senior board member at Pfizer, which depended on mRNA jabs for almost half its $81 billion in sales in 2021. Pfizer paid Gottlieb $365,000 for his work that year.”
On August 27, 2021, Gottlieb emailed Todd O’Boyle, who is a top lobbyist in Twitter’s Washington, D.C. office, after seeing the tweet, according to documents. He never directly requested that the tweet be flagged as misinformation but it was eventually labeled as such after he claimed in the email that the language in the tweet could prove “corrosive” to the nationwide COVID vaccination campaign. He contended it would end up “driving news coverage” in a negative way.
3/ Twitter put a misleading tag on the tweet, preventing it from being shared. Gottlieb then went after a tweet about Covid's low risk to kids from @justin_hart. Pfizer would soon win the okay for its mRNA shots for children, so keeping parents scared was crucial…

“This is the kind of stuff that’s corrosive,” Gottlieb told O’Boyle in the email, according to Fox News. “Here he draws a sweeping conclusion off a single retrospective study in Israel that hasn’t been peer-reviewed. But this tweet will end up going viral and driving news coverage.”
Berenson posited that Gottlieb’s motivation for suppressing the tweet was financial. He asserted that by claiming natural immunity through prior exposure to the virus was more effective than the vaccine, Giroir put Pfizer’s profits in jeopardy.
The reporter also noted that Gottlieb’s financial ties to Pfizer were not disclosed although he did tout himself as a former FDA commissioner.
Hey, @ScottGottliebMD, remind me how your efforts to censor another former @us_fda commissioner for a tweet about natural immunity have to do with the safety of anything other than @pfizer’s massive profits? https://t.co/WwdXnXL06N
