Joy Reid, the MSNBC host who never tires of dividing America along the lines of race, was quick to show her support for U.S. Rep. Cori Bush, D-Mo., after the radical-left Democrat made a racist attack on a black Republican lawmaker.
When U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., was nominated amid this week’s contentious proceedings for speaker of the House, one of the first two black Americans nominated in history, the left could not let that stand unchallenged.
Bush, a former faith healer and a member of “the squad,” responded by saying Donalds was nothing but a “prop” who perpetuates “white supremacy.”
FWIW, @ByronDonalds is not a historic candidate for Speaker. He is a prop. Despite being Black, he supports a policy agenda intent on upholding and perpetuating white supremacy.
His name being in the mix is not progress—it’s pathetic.

And when Bush was called out for the “tired, old, grotesque racist rhetoric we’ve seen far too long,” as U.S. Rep. Dan Bishop, R-N.C., did, well that’s where Reid enters the picture, fulfilling her expected role of propping up the Democratic Party — Bishop nominated Donalds.
In the clip below, Reid spews blatantly false allegations about Republicans supporting voter suppression, even claiming that Donalds backs voter suppression even though he is black. In the end, the left cannot stand idle as Republicans make strides in diversity, even as they condemn the party for a lack thereof.

Of course, for Reid, calling black conservatives props or tokens for the white man is a favorite pastime. In 2012, Reid wrote an “open letter” to U.S. Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., urging him not to be a “token.” In 2021, she accused Scott of being a diversity prop for the GOP, and Reid also called Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas “Uncle Clarence,” this being a reference to the old “Uncle Tom” stereotype.
The remarkable thing here being that NBCUniversal, and parent company Comcast, continue to allow a smarmy, smart-aleck Reid to spew hateful racist rhetoric in prime time — a feat that stands out more and more after the other racist flamethrower at MSNBC, Tiffany Cross, was booted out the door.
On that note, while Reid talks about props and tokens, she’s the lone black anchor on MSNBC’s primetime line up… here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from Twitter:
Another racist operating out in the open @JoyAnnReid

The fact that Comcast allows this blatantly racist person to continue to spew this nonsense amazes me.
If a white conservative said something like this on air, he or she would be castigated. Why is Reid allowed to get away with it?

She sees racism everywhere but where it truly resides: her own heart.

Just when you think she might not be able to get any more disgustingly partisan…

Again, I’ve lived in the Deep South my entire life and I’ve never met someone as racist as Joy Reid https://t.co/PHrhdlNC4J

The one black daily host on MSNBC knows what she’s talking about when it comes to this issue…. https://t.co/cW7qYCeAXc
