Even NBC News evidently has its limits when it comes to bashing Twitter CEO Elon Musk and has temporarily suspended tech reporter Ben Collins for his vicious, biased coverage, predictably enraging Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
It didn’t seem to bother Ocasio-Cortez when pre-Musk Twitter banned the Babylon Bee and censored the New York Post. But ban a leftist journo and she simply won’t stand for it. She seems to believe free speech is selective and only applies to leftist media and progressives.
Semafor editor Tasneem Nashrulla tweeted, “NBC News temporarily suspended tech reporter Ben Collins from NBC and MSNBC airwaves, saying his Musk criticism was not editorially appropriate.”
Enter Ocasio-Cortez who just could not help herself, “Journalism is supposed to speak truth to power, not bow to it.”

As the left is so fond of saying, Twitter is a private company and so is NBC News so they can both hire and fire at will, even with the left shrieking and melting into a diverse puddle of outrage.
Semafor reported: “NBC News had already benched one of the journalists who has reported on Twitter and been harshly critical of Musk. NBC News temporarily suspended tech reporter Ben Collins from covering Musk on NBC and MSNBC airwaves. According to two sources, the network told Collins earlier this month that his criticism of Musk, which included comments about how the billionaire was purposefully trying to destroy Twitter, was not editorially appropriate. Collins continued to tweet his reporting about Twitter last night about the social network’s ban of journalists.”

The blowback over Ocasio-Cortez’s tweet was impressive.
Podcaster Noam Blum hit it out of the park with his commentary, tweeting, “NBC news has been continuously covering Elon Musk. They just took this one douche off the beat because he couldn’t do his job without sounding like an angry bitter baby.”

Officer Zeek Arkham pointed out that what goes around comes around, “The best thing about Musk’s Twitter takeover is the Leftist hypocrisy being brought to light.
