Kyle Rittenhouse continues to stir the left like no other, as seen on Sunday when former CNN host Soledad O’Brien went after him for daring to suggest that people be held accountable for their actions — personal responsibility being a third rail in liberal politics.
“People need to start being held accountable,” Rittenhouse tweeted, the remark appearing to be in response to the information being learned from the release of the Twitter Files. As seen on his timeline, Rittenhouse has been highly supportive of Elon Musk and his efforts to clean up Twitter and provide a level playing field for all concerned.
This prompted a smart aleck response from O’Brien: “For killing people. Yes.”
For killing people. Yes. https://t.co/3raRYZqBpI

Never mind that Rittenhouse, who was attacked by a left-wing mob while trying to help a community feeling the effects of violent protests, was held accountable for his actions in a court of law by a jury of his peers and was found innocent of killing two of his attackers and wounding a third.
But then, Soledad O’Brien knows this. The odd thing about the left being that while they claim to be fighting to “save our democracy,” they regularly reject the machinations of that democracy when the outcome doesn’t jell with their political viewpoint.
Interestingly, Rittenhouse would respond to the dust-up created by O’Brien, tweeting: “I saw that ‘NOT GUILTY’ is trending. When I clicked it was many people defending lies and telling the truth about my story… I am glad Elon Musk has taken over Twitter so lies can actually be combatted with truth without being banned and censored.”

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from Twitter that suggest O’Brien may have been better off leaving well enough alone here:
You do know he had a trial, right Soledad?
— Tony Bruno (Shadow Banned) (@TonyBrunoShow) December 11, 2022
Jury of his peers…but of course, you know better.

There was a trial, as I recall.
He was found not guilty, as I recall.
That’s what accountability is in this country. People aren’t incarcerated just because you don’t like them.

Kyle Rittenhouse was held accountable, and a jury of his peers found him innocent. Next. https://t.co/h2b1dKW7Yq

He was tried and found not guilty. The left are all about blowing the norms up to get results they want cause they don’t tolerate poor Al disagreement. The ends justify the means. Check the mirror Soledad, you are part of the problem. https://t.co/dia5IzIxRX
