A video shared on Instagram captured now-deceased Shanquella Robinson laughing and joking with her friends hours before her death.
Robinson, 25, traveled from Charlotte, N.C., to Cabo on October 28 with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday and was found dead the next day, according to the Daily Mail. Her friends told Robinson’s mother that she had died of alcohol poisoning.
However, it was later learned that she had suffered a broken neck, and a leaked video showed Robinson had been attacked while naked in her bedroom, the British tabloid reported.
“It don’t take that long to get naked. Where y’all at?” Robinson excitedly joked in the video seen below, while urging her travel companions to change into their bathing suits.

As for the latter video, which was shared by TMZ, a woman is seen brutally beating Shanquella while she was naked in a room. A man is recording the vicious attack and casually urges a passive Shanquella to put up a fight.
“Shanquella, can you at least fight back?” he said, as she is being beaten and thrown to the floor. “At least fight back.”
Her distraught father, Bernard Robinson, told TMZ his daughter was not the fighting type and would never get into a physical altercation. He believes the attack was planned and that Shanquella was set up.
The FBI is now investigating her death as a homicide.
