A terrifying video shows how a quick-thinking 10-year-old boy ducked into a local store and managed to stave off a woman who was allegedly trying to abduct him after following him for blocks when he left school.

Sammy Green was caught on video walking with the woman after he left his school in Pottstown on Friday, according to CBS News. She was trying to lure him to a convenience store and he obviously knew he was in danger. The Pennsylvania boy suddenly decided to slip into Dani Bee Funky and then approached the clerk asking her to pretend to be his mom.
“Started walking with him and asking him where his family was, asking where his dad was,” the boy’s father, Sam Green, told WPVI in an interview, recounting the chilling ordeal.
“She said she probably knew me and was going to Wawa and that he was supposed to go with her and he could get anything he wanted,” the boy recalled.
Sammy said that the strange woman asked him peculiar questions which made him very uncomfortable and nervous.
It’s disturbing. They sent the woman for a mental health evaluation – but I would be locking her up because she deliberately told him she knows his family and they said he should go with her. That’s well planned. She’s not some hapless woman.

“She was like, ‘I’m going to Wawa. Are you going there? What are you getting from Wawa? Where’s your family at?’” he told the media outlet.
The woman offered to buy the fourth-grader food before he spotted the store and hatched a plan to evade the would-be kidnapper.
Sammy walked into the store and went straight to the cashier, 17-year-old Hannah Daniels. He whispered to her that he needed help as the woman stood in the open doorway to the store.
“He was like, ‘Pretend like you’re my mom,’” Hannah told CBS News. “And I was just like, ‘All right, go to the back.’ He didn’t want to leave my side.”

Hannah proceeded to walk to the door and locked it with Sammy right behind her. The woman took off at that point.
“I was still shaking when I was in here,” Sammy said following the scary incident. He explained that his dad had taught him about strangers.
“To see my child looking for help because he was afraid basically for his life, that cuts you deep,” Green’s dad told CBS News.
“When we were watching that video, I cried every time I saw it,” the father told WPVI emphasizing that the incident is a lesson for all parents.
Smart kid.

“Think of every scenario and make sure that children know and also practice it,” Green admonished parents. “Practice your situations and scenarios just like fire drills.”
Police would later track the woman down. She is thought to be homeless and has mental health issues. She’s now being treated for them according to the police.
The owner of the store, Dani Small, is extremely proud of both Sammy Green and Hannah Daniels for their decisive actions.
“I am very proud of her. Hannah is a 17-year-old young lady. She did everything correctly,” Small said in an interview with WPVI.
