Trump triggers ‘lock her up’ chant about ‘crazy Nancy Pelosi’ after pulling her into Florida rally

Former President Donald Trump’s address at a Save America rally in Florida was barely underway Sunday before a “feisty crowd” bristled at the mention of “crazy” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and suggested what should happen to her in chant.

Conservative Americans across the country have been striving to have their voices heard to push back against the managed decline of President Joe Biden and his congressional allies led by Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Pelosi. As many gathered Sunday in Miami, Florida to encourage the anticipated big red wave, Trump jumped straight to the pivotal importance of the midterm election.

“When they say policy, the policy is very simple,” he suggested mere moments into a nearly two-hour speech. “It’s called America First. Up and down the ballot Republican and we’re going to end crazy Nancy Pelosi’s political career once and for all. Once and for all.”

“Under Biden, Pelosi, Schumer and the radical Democrat Congress, Florida workers and families are under siege,” Trump continued but took pause as chants of “Lock her up” spread throughout the crowd, something often heard when mentioning former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The president took in the energy of the supporters before noting to Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), for whom the rally was specifically called to support, “We have a feisty crowd today, Marco.”

That energy didn’t dissipate as Trump later broached the subject of the impeachments brought against him and stated, “This was just a cabal. This was just a group of people where crazy Nancy Pelosi–by the way, how’s she doing lately? How’s she doing?–where crazy Nancy Pelosi has the votes.”

The question seemed to be in reference to the injury suffered by the speaker’s husband Paul Pelosi after he had been allegedly struck by a hammer as part of a suspect’s believed attempt to cause harm to the congresswoman.

Before a renewed chant could begin, Trump touched on the groundswell that the GOP had in its favor, “You know one thing I have to say, and I’m speaking to mostly Republicans–is there a Democrat in the house? Boy, you know you can’t even see the back where these people are. Marco, this is a hell of a turnout for you, especially with football going on and all of the things happening. This is a hell of a turnout.”

U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) had elicited a similar response when he had mentioned Pelosi earlier at the event, “So we have a lady we’ve been working with the last 21 months. Her name is Nancy Pelosi,” resulting in boos and calls to “lock her up.”

The president would later go on to hint yet again about a forthcoming announcement regarding his intentions for the 2024 presidential race as he associated the Democrats’ efforts to take him down were because of the work he has engaged in to right America’s course.

“They’re coming after me because I’m fighting for you,” Trump said.

Of little surprise, leftists were triggered by the president and his supporters and helped prove his point.
