‘The Five’ dumbfounded over Lori Lightfoot wanting a raise, Judge Jeanine lights her up: ‘She deserves nothing!’

The mayor of Gotham City (formerly known as Chicago) recently had the gall to ask for a raise in salary from her constituents as compensation for the bang-up job she’s doing in squashing crime in the Windy City.

And no, that isn’t satire.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s justification for such a request is seemingly that the city council –  also arguably undeserving of a pay bump – is getting a raise and so she should get one as well. After all, inflation affects her daily life, too.

Fox News’s Jesse Watters laid it out for the panel of “The Five” to react on Thursday’s show.

“Mayor Lightboat proposing a city ordinance that would give herself a five percent pay bump. Adding about $10,000 to her already cushy salary. Crime is up 37 percent in the windy city since last year and a handful of big businesses have fled.”

“Dana, from a communications perspective, is now the time you want to be demanding a raise?”

Co-panelist Dana Perino responded, “I think probably not. The situation is the city council itself is getting a raise so she’s like ‘why can’t I get in on this deal?’ It’s a five percent raise. There’s a lot of people out there who are like, ‘we can’t even afford to get back and forth on our commute.’ And also, what about the murder rate? Some of these cities, it would be pretty interesting if you could figure out a way to tie the salary of a public official to things that really matter to a city. Like a murder rate. If the murder rate goes down to X — it’s like incentive pay for doing better for the citizens.”

“I don’t know what in Chicago has gone better that she would deserve a raise,” she concluded.

Greg Gutfeld offered his take as well.

“This only way this incompetent nincompoop can get a raise is if she awards herself one. She’s a perfect example of how politics attracts incompetent cretins. As long as she can win elections through intimidation, this is her life. It’s all based on identity politics. She’s black, she’s lesbian. What else do you know about her? You know that she’s presiding over a murder capital. How many people were shot and killed while she does these clever little TikTok videos? Google Lori Lightfoot after this and Yelp review limo company. You’ll thank me so much. You’ll see her character in a nutshell, on a page. She’s an awful person.”

Jeanine Pirro let Lightfoot have an in absentia piece of her mind on top of that.

“Let me tell you, she’s not only tone deaf, she’s selfish. This woman is selfish. She’s talking about dancing and singing and making more money, and saying I’ll only talk to you if you’re a black reporter. I mean, shame on this woman. Violent crime has increased 37 percent. Motor vehicle theft 74 percent! If you’ve got a car that runs, chances are they’re going to steal it from you.”

She continued, “This woman deserves nothing. I don’t even think she should be paid anything. Forget about tying her salary to the murder rate. Just tie her salary to the fact that people — businesses are leaving the city. She’s an embarrassment. She should be gone. They should recall her.” Pirro argued.

Co-host Geraldo Rivera, who invariably does his laborious best to be as squishy as possible and play both sides of every argument, suggested that Lightfoot – who is the chief law enforcement officer in the city – is not necessarily to blame.

“I’m got going to defend Lori Lightfoot and the murder rate in Chicago. Everybody knows it’s a national disgrace. Is it her fault? Where is the federal government? Where is the state government?” he asked.

But Jesse Watters was quick to snuff out that nonsense.

“[Former President] Trump said, ‘I’ll help you,’ and she said, ‘Get outta town.'” he reminded Rivera.
