When in doubt, simply “scare the socks off everyone!” If they are “sufficiently sheeple,” they will quietly fall in!
This is the single-minded strategy for climate-change alarmists.
“Democrats on Capitol Hill are pressuring the Biden Administration to declare a climate emergency, voicing their doomsday predictions.” They insist that “without immediate action to curb and ultimately end our dependence on fossil fuel, the planet and, by implication, every living creature that inhabits it, will die,” Michael Rechenwald noted in The Epoch Times.

“If we don’t really begin to lower emissions, this planet has no chance.” Rep. Alan Lowenthal, D-Calif. said. “We have a few years left. The planet is dying.”
Many of us recall Al Gore’s 2006 warning conveyed in his book and documentary, “An Inconvenient Truth.” Gore predicted that the North Pole ice would be gone by 2013.
It amounts to “stakeholder capitalism.”
While predictions made by Gore and others have proven false, there is no doubt that they created enormous streams of wealth for themselves and those associated. Based upon the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) index, climate change catastrophism’s heyday has arrived and is thriving.
Meanwhile, voices questioning the climate change alarmists are growing louder.
As journalist Lee Smith asserted, “climate change alarmists tell us that if we don’t trade fossil fuel sources for “‘green’ energy, the world will come to an end. The science, they say is settled-even if they can’t settle on a fixed date for the coming climate apocalypse.”
The question becomes, “why” are U.S. and EU politicians determined to push Western Civilization back into the Dark Ages?
“Because it’s an extortion racket,” Smith noted in an Epoch Times piece last month. “There’s big money at stake for global elites invested in the climate agenda. And the best way to ensure it reaches their bank accounts is to terrorize the world’s population into believing that unless we agree to the oligarchy’s demands to shrink our means while they expand theirs, Earth will burn into a fiery crisp.”
Perhaps it’s time to take a closer look and determine what is fact and fiction.
For starters, there has been a complete dismissal of the benefits of fossil fuel use. This includes the pivotal fact that the failure to acknowledge that fossil fuel-powered technologies significantly mitigate the effects of climate emergencies. Deaths from extreme weather events have decreased during the so-called climate emergency. Solar and wind technologies, after 50-plus years of development, are nowhere close to being capable of replacing fossil fuels.
“Observation of physical reality shows that the infrastructure needed for so-called clean energy is disastrous for the environment. The economic numbers give evidence that the transition to the Green New Deal is catastrophic for humans.” Smith added.
“They portray mankind as something like a parasitical alien sent to Earth for no purpose other than to violate Mistress Gala. In this perverse anti-human scenario, the remedy-renewable energy-degrades man and nature alike.
“In the United States alone, wind turbines kill more than a million birds a year. The strip mining required to obtain rare earth minerals for solar panels and electric car batteries cuts paths of devastation through the earth,” Smith noted.
The models presented are manipulative at best and bear no semblance to reality.
Case in point:
*- “The manipulation of surface temperature readings by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change(IPCC).”
*- “The further exaggeration in disseminating synthesized finds to the public by designated “experts” and the media.”
*- “The IPCC’s hiding of its raw data and methodology.”
*- “The blocking of outside investigations attempting to replicate results.”
*- “The blocking of climate change skeptical scientists from publishing their finds in peer-reviewed journals.”
To check mounting public disillusionment, the Biden administration’s Office of the Comptroller of Currency has hired Yue Chen as the agency’s first “climate cop,” or “Chief Risk Officer,” according to a September 12th statement.
The office of the Comptroller of the Currency is a Treasury Department bureau overseeing the country’s largest banks and federal savings association. Chen, a graduate of a Chinese Communist Party-controlled university accepted this important post in the Biden administration.
This appointment, coupled with China’s rare earth dominance, lends credence to alt-right contentions that Communist China interfered with the 2020 United States presidential election.
These “experts” have altered IPCC reports-after scientists had written and approved the final tests- to remove skepticism regarding that humans are having a major impact on climate and global warming. They likewise fail to mention that during the period 1998-2013, there has been no significant warming despite a 7% rise in carbon levels on the planet. The rate of global warming has decelerated since 1951, despite a 26% increase in carbon levels.
S. Fred Singer, David R. Legates and Anthony R. Lupo have stated in unison: “Contrary to some accounts of the scientific debate, there was no gradually emerging consensus on human role in climate change. Rather, politics quickly overtook science as environmental advocates and other interest groups recognized the utility of the climate change issue in advancing their own agendas.”
The long-term goal of climate change catastrophism is to “curtail economic growth.” philosopher and energy expert Alex Epstein contended in his book, “Fossil Future.” According to Epstein, the idea is to “hamstring humanity to eliminate the human impact on the environment altogether.”
In short, climate catastrophism amounts to demonizing and subsequently eliminating cheap and reliable energy. Meanwhile, climate change alarmists such as Al Gore are enriched at our expense.
History will likely reflect Climate Catastrophism as a “grand exhibition of hyperbole.”
