Trump posted on the social media platform in the early hours of Monday morning, letting everyone know that he had returned to his winter home following an Ohio rally for endorsed Senate candidate J.D. Vance.

It was the first time he had been back since the FBI raid in August. He was not amused over the violation of Mar-a-Lago in his absence.

“Arrived in Florida last night and had a long and detailed chance to check out the scene of yet another government ‘crime,’ the FBI’s Raid and Break-In of my home, Mar-a-Lago. I guess they don’t think there is a Fourth Amendment anymore, and to them, there isn’t. In any event, after what they have done, the place will never be the same. It was ‘ransacked,’ and in far different condition than the way I left it. Many Agents – And they didn’t even take off their shoes in my bedroom. Nice!!!’ he vented on Truth Social.

The former president suspected what he would find when he got home and also addressed that possibility on the social media platform.

“I’ll soon be heading to the scene of the unwarranted, unjust, and illegal Raid and Break-In of my home in Florida, Mar-a-Lago. I’ll be able to see for myself the results of the unnecessary ransacking of rooms and other areas of the house. It has already been proven that so much has been wrongfully taken, it is not a ‘pretty thing.’ So sad! The 4th Amendment, and much more, has been totally violated, a grave invasion of privacy. I will keep the American public informed on TRUTH!” he proclaimed.

Trump also posted that he received a warm welcome in Florida upon his return.

“Thank you to all of the many people who greeted me last night on my way from the Airport to Mar-a-Lago. I will never forget the great people of this Country. MAGA!!!,” Trump stated, according to Florida Politics.

FBI agents served a search warrant at Mar-a-Lago in August and raided the former president’s home for top secret documents. They claim to have taken thousands of documents but they also took personal memorabilia. They reportedly searched former first lady Melania Trump’s closet and Trump’s youngest son, Barron’s bedroom.

Since then, federal prosecutors have been embroiled in a legal fight over how those documents could play into potential investigations. U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon ruled investigators cannot use the documents until a special master reviews them first, but federal prosecutors filed a claim in appellate court asking for that decision to be over-ruled. Should a special master proceed with the review, Trump will be required to pay for it per the judge.

Trump slammed the FBI before about the raid, writing, “Terrible the way the FBI, during the Raid of Mar-a-Lago, threw documents haphazardly all over the floor (perhaps pretending it was me that did it!), and then started taking pictures of them for the public to see. Thought they wanted them kept Secret?”

He has also previously accused the agency of being “very deceiving” for staging pictures of the documents being “sloppily thrown on the floor.”
