Watters tears into weak GOP for not fighting back: ‘Joe Biden is laying the wood to you guys’

Fox News host Jesse Watters lambasted the useless GOP leadership for not standing up to President Biden’s vicious assault against Trump and MAGA Republicans ahead of the midterm elections in November.

Watters pointed out that the Republicans are not actively fighting back against Biden, whom he contends has convinced the media to focus on former President Trump rather than his failures while in office. He’s incensed that no one in a party leadership position has done anything about it.

If there was ever a time to stand up to the bullies on the left this is it. Watters highlighted that fact by sharing a report from Politico on the White House being miffed over CNN’s coverage of Biden. He also showed a clip of a CBS News segment where Democratic voters shared concerns about Biden’s age. There is a rift there with the media to be exploited but, so far, crickets from the right.

The economy is in the toilet, Biden’s ratings are disastrous, and he is spending the country into a depression. But somehow, Watters points out, the president has taken the last week to turn the tables on Republicans with his recent portrayal of MAGA Republicans as being treasonous, unpatriotic, and extreme.

“So Biden has decided to go on offense himself and attack half the country,” Watters commented.

“Here’s the Biden strategy: you take the focus off the Democrats and you just talk about Trump. Make Trump what the media focuses on and they will. So, they don’t focus on crime, inflation, open borders, and the fact that Joe hasn’t done a single interview in 200 days,” the Fox News host asserted.

“Biden wants to divide the Republican Party. And the 74 million Americans who voted for Trump are MAGA Republicans who don’t believe in democracy,” he noted.

“What I want to know is why aren’t the Republicans fighting back? Biden raided Trump’s house, the Republican Party said nothing and that’s all Joe needed to know. He saw an opening,” he astutely commented.

“I don’t know if Republicans are still on vacation, or they think if they just lay low, history is going to be on their side in the midterms, but Joe Biden is laying the wood to you guys, and I haven’t heard a peep,” he correctly concluded.

While the Republicans continue to be feckless when they should resoundingly have the upper hand in the midterm elections, Watters went where they should have gone in the first place, contending that Democrats don’t care about their people or raging out-of-control crime. Another topic that the GOP should be hammering home. So he addressed those most affected by it.

“These politicians don’t care about their people. We cannot rely on the government anymore for anything, so I’m not going to waste my time telling these officials what they need to do anymore. We have to address the other half of the problem. So tonight I’m going to talk directly to the homeless, drug addicts, and ex-cons. You’re better than this,” he stated during the segment.

“Pick yourself up and pay attention. Here’s the plan of action. Get a motel room for an hour and take a shower, then shave your face. Walk to the thrift shop, buy clean clothes. Get some new shoes. Then you go to the barbershop and you get your hair cut. You stare in that mirror during the haircut. Your face is clean. You smell clean. You got a new shirt. Look into your own eyes in the mirror. See the real you and say to yourself, ‘This is who I am,'” Watters advised those down on their luck.

He put the responsibility for picking themselves up squarely back on the downtrodden instead of asserting that they are victims that need to be saved by the government and the left.

“Then you hop on the bus and get as far away from your sleazy crew as possible. Go back to your family or if you can’t, get outside of that city where there’s not a dealer on every block and get yourself a job, any job, because a job gives you purpose. Take a broom, an apron, a lawnmower — I don’t care. Do what you got to do. Work all day and then save money. Save 10% of your paycheck. Put it away and then drink a lot of water, do some push-ups, go for a walk, find a book, read, sleep all night and work all day. It’s that simple,” he admonished.

“Listen to your conscience. You know what’s right and what’s wrong. Live in the moment and every moment is an opportunity to make a decision. Who do you want to be? You want to be better and that’s how you get a fresh start. Your life will change if you do these things and you don’t have to thank me,” Watters concluded, saying to those out there struggling what leftist leaders refuse to tell them even though it’s what they need to hear.
