‘Screw polls!’ ‘Meathead’ Rob Reiner squees over Biden, claims Archie Bunker would have turned on Trump

Hollywood actor Rob “Meathead” Reiner is convinced that legendary conservative sitcom character Archie Bunker would have turned against former President Donald Trump over the Jan. 6th riot.

Appearing on Jim Acosta’s CNN show this Saturday, Reiner was asked about an op-ed published in The New York Times last Wednesday by Norman Lear, the creator of “Family Guy.”

In the op-ed, Lear claimed that although Bunker was a hardcore conservative, even he would have turned against Trump over the one-day Jan. 6th riot.

“For all his faults, Archie loved his country and he loved his family, even when they called him out on his ignorance and bigotries. If Archie had been around 50 years later, he probably would have watched Fox News. He probably would have been a Trump voter. But I think that the sight of the American flag being used to attack Capitol Police would have sickened him,” he wrote.

Lear, a Hollywood liberal who produced All in the Family, predictably made no mention of the hundreds of police officers who were brutally assaulted during the violent Black Lives Matter riots of 2020.

Regardless, Reiner agreed with Lear’s dubious assessment.

“He expressed it perfectly. I do think that Archie would have been really upset to see cops beaten by insurgents. And then to find out, as time goes by, that Trump was the — was at the hub of all this and was Trump’s operation altogether,” he said of the op-ed.

“And I think he would have gone the way of Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger. I think a lot of people are starting to see that now. People are starting to leave Trump. And he’s being — he’s going to be left with just the crazy, you know, conspiracy nut cases.”

Actually, a majority of the Republican Party still enthusiastically supports Trump. Conversely, a majority of the GOP loathes Cheney and Kinzinger, two ostensible Republicans who now consistently vote and act like Democrats.

Regardless, Lear and Reiner’s views on Trump just seem to further cement the theory that most Hollywood elites are raging leftists who’re completely out of touch with everyday, working class Americans.

This is especially the case with Reiner, who’s so in love with Democrat President Joe Biden that he refuses to acknowledge the tangible pain his policies have wrought on struggling Americans:

The tweet above provoked an intense response, including even from what appeared to be some of his fellow leftists.

Look:

Lear isn’t much better. His Twitter feed shows him promoting leftist causes and politicians ad nauseum — all from the comfort of his lavish home, that is.

Case in point:

Though to be fair, he’s not as loquacious as Reiner, who appears to spend his every waking moment being an activist for the Democrat Party.

Most recently, he squirmed and hollered in pain when news emerged that billionaire  entrepreneur and investor Elon Musk was trying to purchase Twitter.

He fretted especially hard over concerns that Musk would allow Trump back on Twitter.

“Now that Elon Musk is buying Twitter, the question for all of us is: Will he allow a Criminal who used this platform to lie and spread disinformation to try to overthrow the US Government to return and continue his Criminal activity? And if he does, how do we combat it?” he tweeted in late April.

In response, legendary country music star John Rich torched him.
