You have to hand it to CNN. They’ve done their level best to make the most of what they were given — and they were given Joe Biden, which isn’t much to work with.
But if they hope to keep their newscasting accreditation, at some point they need to at least tangentially approach the outskirts of reality in their reporting, and that includes delivering what no leftist wants to hear—Joe Biden is not popular.
That prompted an article about Biden’s low poll numbers, and CNN’s posting of that article on Twitter did not go over well.
A new CNN poll finds widespread dissatisfaction with President Biden and the US economy. The public’s outlook on the state of the country is the worst it’s been since 2009, the survey finds. https://t.co/nlJ5R0tvtB

“Most Americans are discontented with Biden, the economy, and the state of the country,” the headline reads. Then we get into the good stuff.
From the article: “The summer of 2022 is a season of deepening and widespread discontent, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS. The survey finds the public’s outlook on the state of the country the worst it’s been since 2009, while its view on the economy is the worst since 2011. And nearly 7 in 10 say President Joe Biden hasn’t paid enough attention to the nation’s most pressing problems.”
“Biden’s approval rating in the poll stands at 38%, with 62% disapproving,” the article continues. “His approval ratings for handling the economy (30%) and inflation (25%) are notably lower. Rising costs are a primary economic pressure for most Americans: 75% call inflation and the cost of living the most important economic problem facing their family. Last summer, that figure stood at 43%.
“With midterm elections approaching, the poll finds no indication that Biden’s standing with the public is improving — and among some critical constituencies, it is worsening.”
Even those who claim they support Biden don’t really like him: “Few Americans who approve of Biden’s overall performance say they do so strongly. Overall, just 12% strongly approve of the way Biden is handling the presidency compared with 43% who say they strongly disapprove of his work. Only 28% of Democrats strongly approve, while among Republicans, strong disapproval is nearly universal at 84%.”
This was not welcome news among left-wing Twitterati.
Anyone who thinks the state of the country is worse now than it was in the Trump years has lost touch with reality.

That would mean that about 62% of the country has lost touch with reality — which could very well be the case, but it spells trouble for the defenders of “our democracy.” And speaking of losing touch with reality…
Weird, the economy is stronger than it’s been in decades.

When did cnn turn bearish on Biden

It’s a reflection on the media, not Biden.

Not everyone was surprised by Biden’s poll numbers, however.
You need a poll to tell you this…..

Most Americans didn’t vote for the guy either.

Holy 🙈CNN actually posted some factual news for a change.

And some were even astute enough to notice an intriguing pattern…
Funny, he was VP in 2009
