Comedian and actor Bill Burr, who has made a name for himself with his politically incorrect schtick, had some fun at the expense of feminists and other sacred leftist demographics in his newest Netflix special “Bill Burr: Live at Red Rocks.”
For one thing, Burr made a few cracks about the fact that feminists, rather than men, have more to do with the flagging viewership of women’s sports.
“You’re playing in a 20,000-seat arena—1,500 people show up. That’s not a good night! The promoter lost his f***ing ass on that gig,” Burr joked, referring to the dismal attendance at women’s soccer matches. According to BroBible, Burr wasn’t shy about sharing his opinions on the WNBA, either.
“Look at the WNBA,” he said, “they have been playing in front of 300 to 400 people a night for a quarter of a century. Not to mention, it’s a male-subsidized league. We gave you a league and none of you showed up.”
“Where are all the feminists?” he laughed. “That place should be packed with feminists—faces painted, wearing jerseys, going f—ing nuts like the guys do!…None of you went to the f—ing games.
“You failed them. Not me. Not men—women failed the WNBA. Ladies, name your Top 5 WNBA players of all time. Name 5 WNBA teams. Name the WNBA team in your city. You can’t do it!”
Bill Burr is right. Women need to stop getting mad at men for not watching women sports. They don’t watch it either. pic.twitter.com/ZusuQ9FJ0X

As noted at the sports site AS, the NBA commissioner Adam Silver explained back in 2018 that the WNBA had been operating at a loss since the beginning—hemorrhaging $10 million every year since the league’s creation in 1996. Silver also observed that any pay increases for women players—part of the “gender equity” discussion that was popular in the #MeToo era—would mean even greater subsidies from the genuinely profitable NBA, and would entail the WNBA losing even more money.
Burr went on to note which female-driven media enterprises actually do return a profit.
“Meanwhile,” he joked, “you look at the Kardashians: they’re making billions. You look at those Real Housewives shows, they’re making money hand over fist! Because that’s what women are watching and the money listens. The money listens. You’d rather watch that s—t, Real Housewives, just a bunch of women tearing each other down.
“That’s the message you send: we’d rather watch that than a bunch of women come together as a team and try to achieve a common goal. We’d rather watch them absolutely f—ing destroy each other! And then in the end, you come back and you yell at f—ing guys.”
It’s not the first time Burr has ruffled some leftist feathers. The comedian has had no fear of wading into the culture wars, taking special aim at the Left’s war on gender and its efforts to indoctrinate children. Appearing on an episode of the podcast “Your Mom’s House,” Burr rejected the idea of raising his daughter as anything other than a little girl, and refused to cave to the “fascist liberals” who seek to impose their bizarre ideology on everyone else upon pain of “de-platforming” or worse.
“I would never do that to my kid,” he said. “This kid has like a developing brain. I’m gonna dump my own constitution of sh— on them? That is like adult stuff, and you should allow kids to be kids. Can they have a f—ing childhood?…I would never have some political agenda.”
“Look, my daughter is a girl and if she wants to work on carburetors or quote, ‘do some guy sh—,’ I don’t give a f—,” he added. “I opened my mind. I listened to you. I don’t agree with what you’re saying. It’s my kid and I’ll raise her the way I want to.”
