‘Do not transition your kids’: Ex-trans teen supports laws against treatments that ‘irreversibly and painfully’ ruined her body

Woke activists claim to promote the voices of the voiceless in the pursuit of equity, yet they never heed the cries of the victims of their harmful agendas. However, the world is not bereft of all reason and one such victim of the transgender movement was granted the chance to tell her cautionary tale as she plead to those who would hear, “Do not transition your kids.”

The state of Florida held a hearing Friday in Tallahassee pertaining to Rule 59G-1.050 meant to block Medicaid funding being utilized toward transgender drugs and procedures, according to Fox News. 17-year-old Chloe Cole, a California native “detransitioning” after her parents had facilitated surgery and drugs, was invited to speak in support of the rule detailing the negative effects such “gender-affirming” treatment had on her health and future .

Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo shared a bit of Cole’s “courageous” testimony when she spoke at a separate meeting against the “medicalization of minors with [gender dysphoria] because the benefits are unproven, and the risks are extraordinarily high.”

Cole stated, “I don’t know if I’ll be able to fully carry a child and I might be at increased risk for certain cancers, namely cervical cancer. And because I do not have my breasts, I no longer have breasts, I’m not able to breastfeed whatever future children I have.”

After a lengthy pause, she went on to add, “That realization, actually, was one of the biggest things that led to me realizing that this was not the path that I should have taken.”

Her story had been previously reported and included her concluding at 12 that she was transgender, telling her parents at 13, and then beginning a course of puberty blockers and testosterone before undergoing a double mastectomy at 15 only to later realize it was a mistake at 16.

“No child should have to experience what I have. My consent was not informed,” The Daily Mail reported Cole saying at the hearing. “I really didn’t understand all of the ramifications of any of the medical decisions that I was making. I was unknowingly physically cutting off my true self from my body, irreversibly and painfully.”

The main takeaway she hoped listeners would have was, “Do not transition your kids.” She went on to tell Fox News Digital, “If you are considering transitioning, please wait until you are a fully developed adult. Transitioning can damage your body and mind in ways that we may not fully understand.”

Ladapo has stood on the side of reason in the transgender debate and stood in stark contrast to the United States Assistant Secretary of Health Rachel Levine, who himself identifies as transgender. Levine has frequently claimed that “every major medical association agrees: gender-affirming care is life-saving, medically necessary, age-appropriate and a critical tool for health care providers.”

Obviously, Ladapo’s stance and Cole’s testimony prove that to be entirely false and the Florida doctor went on to tell Fox News digital, “Medicalization of minors with gender dysphoria might advance the political views of physicians involved in their care, but the data showing any benefit for the actual children is extraordinarily thin. The affirmation model runs an unacceptably high risk of harm.”

“Parents are threatened with fears of suicide,” he added, “but the treatments have not been shown to actually reduce this risk. These patients need compassionate care of their emotional and mental well-being–not to be in embroiled [sic] in political views about sex/gender.”

These positions were backed by a 46-page report provided by the Agency for Health Care Administration in Florida that showed evidence in favor of such care was “low quality or very low quality,” and the rule is necessary to block updates to the Affordable Care Act that would require states to offer “gender transition services.”

Cole voiced her gratitude for getting to speak on the matter in response to Ladapo’s post and said, “I can’t thank you enough…for giving me the chance to tell my story. We cannot allow this to happen to children. People in positions of power have allowed this to happen. I know you will help break this vicious cycle.”
