The sincerity of former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony to the Jan. 6 committee was already severely in doubt with her claims falling apart under mild scrutiny easier than slow-cooked ribs.
Now, as her story under oath may one day do, her own words are coming back to bite her in alleged text messages that state how she really feels about the show trial.
Without some kind of supporting evidence, anyone who cares to use critical thinking has already dismissed the idea that Hutchinson’s hearsay account of then-President Donald Trump’s behavior the day the Capitol was breached even remotely resembles a “bombshell.” After her D-list caliber performance, even corporate media should find it difficult to explain an apparent change of heart from February when she was reported calling the investigation “BS.”
The Daily Caller obtained text messages said to have been sent from Hutchinson to a conservative activist with the American Conservative Union, which helps cover legal costs related to Jan. 6 through the First Amendment Fund, on Feb. 1, wherein she was seeking help in dealing with a subpoena from the committee.
EXCLUSIVE: Text Messages Show Cassidy Hutchinson Referring To January 6 Committee As ‘BS’
The January 6 committee’s key witness, Cassidy Hutchinson, called the committee “bs” in a text message obtained exclusively by the @DailyCallerhttps://t.co/zqy6SqZtgV

“Hey,” the image of the text shows with the name of the recipient redacted. “This is Cassidy Hutchinson. Kind of a random question, but do you still work for the Schlapp’s at the ACU?”
When the unnamed activist responded in the affirmative, Hutchinson continued, “Do you happen to know a First Amendment Fund POC I could reach out to? I was subpoenaed in early Nov., but the committee waited to serve me until last week (after Ben’s deposition). I had to accept service because the U.S. Marshalls came to my apartment last Wednesday, but I haven’t made contact with the Committee. I’m on a tight timeline and just trying to figure out what my options are to deal with this bs.”
Imagine that!

Matt Schlapp, the chair of the Conservative Political Action Conference whom Hutchinson mentioned in her text, had confirmed that she had sought aid in a tweet following her initial testimony where he wrote, “Ms. Hutchinson approached @CPAC for help through our First Amendment Fund which has helped J6 political victims defend themselves. I am pleased we did not assist her performance today. Relaying WH hallway gossip as fact does not qualify as first person testimony.”

A general consensus developed that suggested the former aide’s apparent change of heart didn’t come from the revelatory flashback of conversations held in the wake of the events of Jan. 6, but was likely more remunerative in origin, possibly relating to a publishing company.

Book deal. It’s always a book deal.

Odds are, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) isn’t worried about how these messages will impact the perception of Hutchinson’s testimony before her witch hunt committee. After all, neither have shirked displaying how chummy they’ve been getting along throughout the hearing.
