An anchor for One America News Network (OANN) caused a stir Saturday with her impassioned reaction to the left’s favored virtue signal for the month of June in her hometown, calling it a “disgrace to our city.”
The annual inundation of rainbow adorned corporate logos coupled with attestations and affirmations of pride has nearly drawn to a close, but for OANN’s Alison Steinberg, a line was seemingly crossed in Huntington Beach, California. In a video posted to her Instagram account appropriately named “alisonsragepage,” the anchor offered up a hot take on seeing a pride flag displayed on what was reportedly a city owned flagpole.
Having moved to San Diego, Steinberg explained it was her first time visiting her home in the state she dubbed “Commie-fornia” and she wasn’t pleased with what had happened while she was away. “Guess what I came home to be greeted with?” her rant began. “This f*cking bullsh*t.”
Pointing animatedly at the flag, she continued, “What the hell is that? Huntington Beach is the town of good old fashioned, hard-working American people! People that worked all through the Covid lockdowns. Yes, that’s right! Huntington Beach never shut down through any of the Covid nonsense f*ckery.”

“And now we’re peddling this garbage!? What the hell is this? The only flag that should be up there is that American flag. This is a disgrace to our city and it should be taken down immediately!” Steinberg insisted. “Whoever the hell is running this town needs to be fired!”
“Make America great again! Make Huntington Beach great again!” she added as she walked off camera.
In the caption for her Instagram post, the anchor appeared to be drawing the conclusion that the display of the pride flag was a noticeable symptom of an area infected with woke ideology. She wrote of the city management, “This is disgraceful. You should all be thanking God that any of you even have a job. Every one of you should’ve been recalled. No one in HB wants you implementing your radical far left policies in our beautiful, conservative town. Move to North Korea if you’re so dissatisfied with the way we operate here.”

Newsmax TV host Greg Kelly had expressed a similar reaction, albeit exponentially toned down, when he had covered a story about pride flags displayed on churches and schools. “What does that have to do with anything?” Kelly asked. “I feel, as somebody who’s quite frankly not gay, I feel like that’s a little exclusionary, actually. You could say, also, disrespectful on a lot of levels…Why are they emphasizing that?”
The more inclusive pride flag, not displayed at Huntington Beach, has grown to represent the ideological perspective of gender theory which is at its core is a Marxist viewpoint. Therefore, it does not align with the framework of the United States Constitution, especially in a reportedly conservative town like Steinberg’s.
That didn’t stop the mob from deciding that her remarks could only be based in homophobia, despite her equally evident disregard for the National League of Families POW/MIA flag flying beneath Old Glory.
