Former President Donald Trump shredded TalkTv host Piers Morgan before and during his packed rally in Nebraska Sunday, taking credit for Morgan’s off-the-charts ratings while claiming that the show bombed afterward and the talk show host’s career was over.

In a statement released Sunday afternoon, Trump nailed Morgan, contending he was no longer able to make it on-air and that he was past his sell-by date.

“Ratings for the Piers Morgan interview with me were great!” Trump proclaimed in his statement. “Unfortunately, after that interview, his show bombed completely because of the fake narrative he tried to portray.”

“The fact is, I got a new close-up glimpse at Piers, and he no longer has what it takes,” the former president declared. “It’s over for him!”

During a “Save America” rally in Greenwood, Nebraska on Sunday, Trump smacked Morgan again over their contentious interview.

“This crazy Piers Morgan, did you see that show? Piers Morgan thank you, sir. Did you see Piers Morgan? I think he sorta had it. I think Piers is over the hill” Trump announced to the cheering crowd.

“He opened the show with an interview of me, I did him a favor. I didn’t want to do his stupid show. It’s on Fox Nation. What is Fox Nation?” he asked.

“He opened with great ratings when he did me and, after my interview is finished, he bombed and he is now down over 70 percent and maybe they’ll someday learn that maybe they should hire me as an anchor,” Trump stated.

On April 25, Piers Morgan’s new TV show attracted an incredible 64 million views across streaming and online video platforms in its first week, according to News UK as reported by the New York Post.

“We are delighted that this new content has created so much interest and is driving our digital business forward, bringing in new audiences and new revenues,” said Scott Taunton, who is News UK’s executive vice president and president of broadcasting, in a statement.

Views to date included “Uncensored” content on Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Youtube, and News Corp-owned websites, including the New York Post, the statement reported.

Those totals don’t include viewership numbers in the UK or Australia. They also don’t include streams on “Fox Nation” in the US, according to the release.

The second episode of Piers Morgan’s “Uncensored” show was viewed by approximately 100,000 fewer people than the debut with Trump, representing a decline of roughly a third, according to the Independent.

Trump originally lashed out at Morgan after a deceptively manipulated promo for the interview was released for his debut show that portrayed Trump as angrily stomping off camera.

“Piers Morgan, like the rest of the Fake News Media, attempted to unlawfully and deceptively edit his long and tedious interview with me. He wanted to make it look like I walked out on the interview when my time limit of 20 minutes went over by an hour. The good news is that the interview was taped by us as a means of keeping him honest,” the former president stated.

“The interview was actually very strong on the 2020 Election Fraud, with me calling him ‘a fool’ if he truly believed those results. The evidence is massive and irrefutable (check out Truth the Vote and the Dinesh D’Souza documentary, which will all be coming out soon). For those who want to make Piers look bad, compare his video promo and how it was doctored to the real thing,” Trump continued.

“Hopefully they will now be doing some big changes to their final product. It just shows, however, what I have to deal with in the Fake News Media. He went out of his way to deceptively edit an interview and got caught. That is a big story, isn’t it?” he asked.
