The hosts on “The View” had an epic meltdown on Wednesday while discussing the response of Republicans to President Joe Biden’s handling of Russia invading Ukraine with former Trump administration official Alyssa Farah Griffin defending them and infuriating Whoopi Goldberg.

Goldberg started off by airing clips of Republicans criticizing Biden for his actions in connection to the invasion. Of particular interest to Goldberg was the fact that they found fault with Biden’s decision not to send Polish fighter jets to Ukraine.

“This administration has been far too slow, not only in their implementation of sanctions but the lack of completeness of sanctions. The Ukrainian people need those MiGs, and they need them now — they need them yesterday,” Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) declared during a Wednesday press conference.

Goldberg also played clips of Reps. Steve Scalise (R-LA) and Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) from that same press conference. McCarthy accused the president of “creating the situation to be worse.”

“I mean, I’m sorry. Where were all these Republicans when the former guy in office was holding money hostage saying, ‘We’re not going to give you the money until you give me the information about Beau Biden,” Goldberg disingenuously asked and then corrected her reference to Hunter Biden, not Beau Biden.

She also asserted that Republicans didn’t care about sending military aid to Ukraine while former President Donald Trump was in office. That was when Griffin stepped into the fray to give her opinion on the subject.

“Whoopi. Whoopi, let me tell you where I was. I was at the United States Department of Defense, and we were working around the clock to get this aid released to Ukraine, to get security assistance released,” the former White House Director of Strategic Communications and assistant to Trump said.

Goldberg wanted to know why the military aid was allegedly held up under Trump.

Griffin posited that a number of Republicans would have voted differently during Trump’s first impeachment trial if the Russian invasion had occurred back then.

Goldberg didn’t want to hear it and asserted it didn’t matter what Republicans might have done.

“I want to be abundantly clear though, Donald Trump is not president anymore and we have a humanitarian crisis…,” Farah started to say before Goldberg interrupted her.

“That doesn’t — I’m sorry. You cannot stand up and say, ‘he’s — hey this guy’s not doing his job.’ He’s doing what he’s supposed to do,” Goldberg insisted.

Griffin went on to point out that there are “thousands of Ukrainians dying every day,” and that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is begging the Biden administration for military aid that includes aircraft that would ostensibly create a no-fly zone over the country.

“I understand that. What I take offense at is the fact these people are suddenly all concerned now about what’s happening,” Goldberg snarled.

“This is a lot of posturing by the Republican Party, and I think it’s despicable, and I think it’s disgusting, and I don’t think you should defend it,” co-host Sunny Hostin chastised Griffin.

Griffin added, “but I stand by Joe Biden, who is the president, who I hope gets us through this conflict, but I would call on him in the strongest terms, get MiGs to the Ukrainians so they can defend their skies.”
