Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy appeared on “Hannity” Monday and revealed that President Joe Biden called him to clear the air about an hour after being caught on a hot mic referring to him as a “stupid son-of-a-b*tch” following a question regarding inflation.
“He said ‘It’s nothing personal, pal,'” Doocy recounted. “And we went back and forth, and we were talking about just kind of moving forward, and I made sure to tell him that I’m always gonna try to ask something different than what everybody else is asking. And he said, ‘You got to.’ And that’s a quote from the president, so I’ll keep doing it.”
Hannity then asked Doocy if Biden actually apologized for the slur.
The Fox reporter replied, “He cleared the air and I appreciate it.”
“We had a nice call,” Doocy stated.
“That’s not an answer,” Hannity smilingly replied. “That doesn’t sound like an apology.”
“He said ‘It’s nothing personal, pal.’ And I told him that I appreciate him reaching out,” Doocy responded. “Hey Sean, the world is on the brink of, like, World War III right now with all of this stuff going on. I appreciate that the president took a couple of minutes out this evening while he was still at this desk to give me a call and clear the air.”
“I don’t need anybody to apologize to me. He can call me whatever he wants as long as it gets him talking!” he remarked. “I think that’s enough. That’s enough. So we can move on. We can now move forward. There will be years- three to seven years of opportunities to ask him about different stuff.”
Pete Doocy broke Joe Biden.

Peter Doocy seems to be the only White House press correspondent that gets on Biden's nerves. I like that 😏

Doocy has long been a thorn in Biden’s side.
The incident occurred after the president met with the Competition Council and members of his cabinet. The substance of the meeting concerned lowering prices for American families so Doccy’s question was highly relevant.
As the press was unceremoniously herded out of the room, reporters started yelling questions.
Biden slammed one reporter for daring to ask about the administration’s call with European leaders over Ukraine and Russia, according to Fox News.
“The only reason I don’t like doing this is because you never report on why I’ve called a meeting, and this is important,” the president snapped. “I had a very, very, very good meeting, totally unanimity with all the European leaders – will talk about it later. Thank you.”
“Will you take questions on inflation then?” Doocy shouted. “Do you think inflation will be a political liability ahead of the midterms?”
“No, it’s a great asset, more inflation. What a stupid son-of-a-b*tch,” Biden commented on a hot mic.
Even the official White House transcript reported the exchange.

Netizens were quick to point out that CNN’s Brian Stelter took a dig at Trump in 2018 when he slammed the then-president for calling someone a “son-of-a-b*tch.”
“Calling a journalist a ‘son of a b*tch?’” Stelter tweeted on March 11, 2018. “It was wrong when Trump was just a candidate, and it’s even worse now that he’s POTUS…”
Steltler double standard: The rules don’t apply to Dems. Or to Fox. https://t.co/szpuNkTY3c
— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) January 25, 2022
The tweet evidently referred to a comment made by Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania where he called “Meet the Press” moderator Chuck Todd a “sleeping son-of-a-b*tch.”
The hypocrisy by Stelter was savaged.
Thank you, @BrianStelter, for showing solidarity for your fellow journalist and demonstrating you uphold your principles regardless of partis– oh, wait, this is from 2018:https://t.co/YgULnZIdR5
— Glenn Greenwald (@ggreenwald) January 24, 2022
It’s important to remember that Stelter’s inner-monologue is always one of two things:
1 I can’t believe I have a job. I must do whatever I’m told to keep it, no matter how dumb or hypocritical it makes me look.
2 I’m hungry. https://t.co/yq7nSlYiIK— Derek Hunter (@derekahunter) January 25, 2022
Stelter apparently thinks Trump calling a journalist a son of a bitch exposed reporters to “threats and intimidation” but Biden doing it should just be dismissed as a mere “blip.” pic.twitter.com/OtimT8sdkU

Stelter would later defend himself and decry Biden’s outburst (sort of) but only after being piled on for his prior admonishment of Trump.
This is from 2018. It's still true. Biden was wrong to call Doocy an SOB. The press is right to hold presidents to high standards. Biden doesn't berate the media like Trump, so the context for today is different, but it's still out of line https://t.co/RYiO4Nyg08

Regardless of Biden’s conciliatory call, conservatives were outraged over his profane slap at Doocy:
He must’ve been looking in a mirror when he said this✔️ pic.twitter.com/tVvNZiycEF

When Trump insulted reporters, CNN lost its mind and manufactured endless news cycles decrying it as the worst thing ever.
Here? It'll be some combination of crickets and he deserved it. https://t.co/6EDQNIpMdI

If you can’t afford groceries for your family, just know it’s because Peter Doocy is a stupid son of a bitch

Joe calls Peter Doocy a stupid son-of-a-bitch, but thank goodness we've now returned civility to the White House. No mean tweets, amiright?
— Kira (@RealKiraDavis) January 24, 2022
Brandon’s hot mike comment about Peter Doocy’s question re how economy will effect midterms only helps Peter Doocy’s career. Brandon ought to be looking in a mirror next time he wants to call someone a stupid son-of-a-bitch.

Biden is such a punk.
He calls Peter Doocy a “stupid son of a bitch” when he thinks he left the room.
He doesn’t even have the courage to say it to his face.
What a disrespectful, cowardly man.

Our “healing” president called Peter Doocy a “stupid son of a bitch” today. Stay classy, White House.
