Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy appeared on “Hannity” Monday and revealed that President Joe Biden called him to clear the air about an hour after being caught on a hot mic referring to him as a “stupid son-of-a-b*tch” following a question regarding inflation.

“He said ‘It’s nothing personal, pal,'” Doocy recounted. “And we went back and forth, and we were talking about just kind of moving forward, and I made sure to tell him that I’m always gonna try to ask something different than what everybody else is asking. And he said, ‘You got to.’ And that’s a quote from the president, so I’ll keep doing it.”

Hannity then asked Doocy if Biden actually apologized for the slur.

The Fox reporter replied, “He cleared the air and I appreciate it.”

“We had a nice call,” Doocy stated.

“That’s not an answer,” Hannity smilingly replied. “That doesn’t sound like an apology.”

“He said ‘It’s nothing personal, pal.’ And I told him that I appreciate him reaching out,” Doocy responded. “Hey Sean, the world is on the brink of, like, World War III right now with all of this stuff going on. I appreciate that the president took a couple of minutes out this evening while he was still at this desk to give me a call and clear the air.”

“I don’t need anybody to apologize to me. He can call me whatever he wants as long as it gets him talking!” he remarked. “I think that’s enough. That’s enough. So we can move on. We can now move forward. There will be years- three to seven years of opportunities to ask him about different stuff.”

Doocy has long been a thorn in Biden’s side.

The incident occurred after the president met with the Competition Council and members of his cabinet. The substance of the meeting concerned lowering prices for American families so Doccy’s question was highly relevant.

As the press was unceremoniously herded out of the room, reporters started yelling questions.

Biden slammed one reporter for daring to ask about the administration’s call with European leaders over Ukraine and Russia, according to Fox News.

“The only reason I don’t like doing this is because you never report on why I’ve called a meeting, and this is important,” the president snapped. “I had a very, very, very good meeting, totally unanimity with all the European leaders – will talk about it later. Thank you.”

“Will you take questions on inflation then?” Doocy shouted. “Do you think inflation will be a political liability ahead of the midterms?”

“No, it’s a great asset, more inflation. What a stupid son-of-a-b*tch,” Biden commented on a hot mic.

Even the official White House transcript reported the exchange.

Netizens were quick to point out that CNN’s Brian Stelter took a dig at Trump in 2018 when he slammed the then-president for calling someone a “son-of-a-b*tch.”

“Calling a journalist a ‘son of a b*tch?’” Stelter tweeted on March 11, 2018. “It was wrong when Trump was just a candidate, and it’s even worse now that he’s POTUS…”

The tweet evidently referred to a comment made by Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania where he called “Meet the Press” moderator Chuck Todd a “sleeping son-of-a-b*tch.”

The hypocrisy by Stelter was savaged.

Stelter would later defend himself and decry Biden’s outburst (sort of) but only after being piled on for his prior admonishment of Trump.

Regardless of Biden’s conciliatory call, conservatives were outraged over his profane slap at Doocy:
