With no remedy in sight and the Biden regime effectively washing their hands of the business at the U.S. southern border, Americans in Texas are taking the sovereignty of their state – and by extension, the nation – into their own hands.
Samuel Hall, founder of Patriots for America (PFA), and Julio Rosas, senior editor at Townhalll.com, joined “Fox News Primetime” with host Katie Pavlich to explain what is being done to stem the tide of illegal border crossings at the U.S./Mexico border.
Hall’s organization, a self-described faith-based militia group, has been granted access by private landowners near the border to patrol for illegal activity on their property and has effectuated some 2,300 arrests in coordination with local sheriffs over the last two months of 2021.
Rosas cited Yuma, Arizona as an example of Customs and Border Patrol agents being overwhelmed just by the illegal immigrants who decide to give themselves up to authorities for processing, leaving very few agents available to catch those that, in contrast, will not give themselves over to law enforcement.
Though PFA doesn’t make arrests on their own, Hall says they exist to “disrupt ad frustrate” illegal border crossers and that a determination of whether or not a person poses a danger or has a criminal past is left up to local sheriffs and the Department of Public Safety. Hall places the blame for the incredible influx of immigrants both legal and illegal squarely at the feet of the Biden regime.
“Those Socialist, Marxist, Communists in D.C. have opened up our borders on the altar of political gain and votes, and that’s what this is all about. It’s about turning Texas blue,” he declared.
“That’s what they’re doing right now,” he continued, “and their Marxist playbook is very clear, but there’s a lot of people being hurt on both sides. A lot of people dying on both sides. It’s a tragedy for this nation.”
Rosas, for his part, doesn’t see much of a light at the end of the tunnel given the current administration’s policies and ineptitude, particularly in its vacillating approach to former President Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” border policy. The Townhall editor foresees himself spending even more time reporting on the southern border than he did in 2021, belying the Biden regime’s claims that the influx of immigrants is purely seasonal.
Meanwhile, Vice President and Border Czar Kamala Harris continues her downward spiral into political irrelevance as part of a wholly incompetent administration that seeks to protect natural gas interests abroad as well as the integrity of the border between Russia and Ukraine, while simultaneously killing pipelines and jobs at home, ignoring its own border and laying the calamity of illegal immigration in the laps of innocent, law-abiding citizens.
