President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris appeared together Tuesday at a Washington, D.C. soup kitchen for a Thanksgiving photo-op and while the meals they were preparing may have been hot, the reported reception Harris was getting from the 79-year-old president was served cold.

“President Biden seemed to snub Vice President Kamala Harris Tuesday as they helped prepare meals,” the New York Post reported.

The visit to D.C. Central Kitchen, a Washington, D.C., nonprofit that recycles food from local caterers, restaurants, and hotels to provide meals for the homeless and others in need, was their first public appearance together in more than a week, and comes on the heels of reported tension between the White House and Team Kamala.

Last week, CNN reported on “entrenched dysfunction and lack of focus” from Harris and her staff, as her approval ratings hit historic lows. Harris reportedly feels increasingly isolated inside the White House, and her and Biden have a dysfunctional relationship that has reached an “exhausted stalemate,” according to CNN. The network reported that the president was sidelining Harris as a potential liability and that those close to Harris feel that Biden was dumping politically challenging issues on her like the out-of-control crisis at the wide-open southern border with Mexico.

“Key West Wing aides have largely thrown up their hands at Vice President Kamala Harris and her staff — deciding there simply isn’t time to deal with them right now,” the CNN report states, while the Harris camp was implying that racism may be at play here.

Harris was positioned to Biden’s immediate right, followed by first lady Jill Biden and second gentleman Doug Emhoff. A reporter asked the president what he was grateful for and Biden “put an arm around DC Central Kitchen chef Dawain Arrington — who was standing to the president’s left with Harris at Biden’s right — and said, ‘The people I’m standing next to are what I’m thankful for. He got up. He was knocked down, but he got up,'” the newspaper reported.

The Post also noted that when Jill Biden directed Harris to stand next to her husband, the president “didn’t appear to greet his second-in-command.”

“Come on, Kamala!” the first lady said, prompting Harris to cheerfully respond, “I’m here!”

As seen in the video above, there didn’t appear to be any words exchanged between Biden and Harris as she took her position next to him. In fact, they pretty much ignored one another.

After the soup kitchen photo-op, Biden traveled to Nantucket, where he and his family will celebrate Thanksgiving at the compound of billionaire David Rubenstein.

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked White House press secretary Jen Psaki earlier in the day about the message Biden is sending, giving the impact of inflation on American families, punctuated by soaring gas prices that are wrecking budgets.

“What message does it send to the middle-class Americans that President Biden says he’s trying to help, who are struggling this week to cover the cost of the most expensive Thanksgiving ever, that the president is going to take two days off at a billionaire’s compound in Nantucket?” Doocy asked.

Psaki’s remarkable answer was that the price of turkeys are only “about one dollar more.

“There are abundance of turkeys available,” the president’s spokeswoman said. “They’re about one dollar more for a 20-pound bird, which is a huge bird if you’re feeding a very big family.”

She also added, “I hope you’re spending time with your family. I’m spending time with my family. I hope everybody in here is spending time with their families. This is a time to put politics aside, spend time with your loved ones and talk about what you’re grateful for.”

Hmmm. Just image the reaction had former President Donald Trump spent Thanksgiving at a fellow billionaire’s home…
