Texas Democrat Beto O’Rourke was confronted by a Hispanic pro-Second Amendment protester at a gubernatorial campaign stop in Texas who bluntly told the liberal on behalf of the “ranchers, the oil and gas and farmers” that he was not welcome there.

“We don’t want you here,” he shouted at O’Rourke. The Democrat was surrounded by supporters and security during the confrontation but that did not stop the man from speaking his mind.

“On behalf of the ranchers, the oil and gas and farmers, I’m in your grill telling you don’t come back,” the man named Robert announced. O’Rourke supporters tried to shout him down and then security approached him. The confrontation was originally reported by The National Desk.

“You ain’t taking my guns, either,” he told O’Rourke. “Nobody wants you here. No means no. Three times – you lost twice. No means no!”

His statement was in reference to the Democrat’s failed attempt to unseat Republican U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz in 2018 and his aborted bid for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination in 2020.

The protester appeared to also be addressing O’Rourke’s proclamation that gun control is still a top priority for him and his past pledge declaring “hell, yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your Ak-47. We’re not going to allow it to be used against fellow Americans anymore.”

“I still hold this view” on what he called “weapons of war,” O’Rourke said Sunday on CNN.

As Robert was escorted to the perimeter of the event, he could be seen holding up a flag that read, “COME AND TAKE IT.”

“Hey Beto,” declared Robert as he held up the flag, “come and take it! Come and take it. It ain’t gonna happen, you done lost twice.”

As he was holding up the flag, someone kept blowing a whistle at him. He replied, “Hey, I love the way you blow and f**k you too.”

O’Rourke’s supporters incessantly blew whistles to drown out the counter-protesting at the campaign event. A man wearing a shirt with O’Rourke’s image and name on it got into it with the protesters. At that point, Robert could be heard shouting “Kyle Rittenhouse, Kyle Rittenhouse baby, Kyle Rittenhouse!”

O’Rourke looks to many like a political sacrificial lamb in the governor’s race in Texas. He has little chance of winning. Governor Greg Abbott is far outpacing him and so is actor Matthew McConaughey who hasn’t even officially entered the race yet. A recent poll showed the actor running ahead of both Abbott and O’Rourke in the race.

The progressive Democrat is desperately trying to distance himself from President Biden in order to woo Texan voters. He’s even taken a weak stance against illegal immigration. But his anti-Second Amendment position is what will almost certainly tank him in the Lone Star State.

“This campaign in Texas is not going to be about Joe Biden, it’s not going to be about Donald Trump, it’s not going to be about anyone from outside of our state,” O’Rourke vowed on CNN’s “State of The Union” Sunday when he was asked about campaigning with Biden. “This is going to be about the people of Texas, and what the people of Texas want.”
