Melania Trump attends World Series in rare public appearance, becomes instant target

The left’s hatred for Donald Trump is so all-consuming that it sweeps up all those close to the former president, including his beautiful wife who has largely steered clear of political sniping.

Trump attended Game 4 of the World Series on Saturday with former first lady Melania Trump, with the couple joining Atlanta Braves fans in performing the trademark “tomahawk chop” celebration as the team went up three games to one over the Houston Astros, much to the angst of liberals who believe the gesture is bigoted and racist against Native Americans.

Melania Trump’s appearance in the suite at Truist Park was reportedly the first time she has been seen in public since July, when she was photographed leaving their Trump Tower apartment in New York City with son Barron.

Accustomed to creating their own reality in the furtherance of political ends, the left seized on a six second slow motion video of Mrs. Trump changing facial expressions after smiling to push the familiar narrative that she is somehow a hostage being forced to put forth a public appearance of being a supportive wife, almost like she’s an employee instead of Trump’s spouse. Or that she is miserable in the relationship, even though they have been married for 16 years — the nation saw a prime example of this during Trump’s inauguration in 2016, with similar footage being exploited.

“Social media users would have given a penny for the thoughts of Melania Trump after video went viral of her facial expression turning on a dime,” Newsweek noted, pointing out that this was the former first couple’s first public appearance since April.

“During Saturday’s World Series baseball game between the Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves at Truist Park in the Georgia state capital, the former first lady had a broad grin for the crowd who cheered her as she stood next to her husband,” the article stated. “However, as Donald Trump pointed towards the crowd and lapped up the adulation, his wife’s contentment appeared to be short-lived as she looked away and her smile quickly turned upside down.”

The footage is seen here:

The left-wing magazine goes on to say that Mrs. Trump has “been the subject of scrutiny at times for apparently displaying a less than enthusiastic demeanor in the presence of her husband.”

But that was tame compared to a screaming headline from The Independent, “Melania filmed scowling, rolling eyes at Donald Trump at World Series.”

A British online newspaper, it would appear that The Independent may be independent of the truth. Either way, that’s a lot to take from a six-second clip that’s in slow motion. While it’s foolhardy to imply intent, Mrs. Trump almost acts as if an applied eyelash may have suddenly malfunctioned.

But that’s all Trump haters need to pounce. Never mind that they insult Melania as an intelligent, independent woman in the process. One thing that can be counted on here is that hypocritical feminists will not be coming to her defense.

Here’s a small sampling of the unhinged hatred that was spewed over the video from Twitter:

On a more positive note, while attending the World Series in Georgia the Trumps posed with former NFL star and Heisman Trophy winner Herschel Walker and his wife — Walker is running for the U.S. Senate in the state.
