DC Comics has made another business decision that demonstrates they are kowtowing to the leftist mob as they announced their second woke decision this week — they are gutting Superman’s slogan of its reference to the greatness of America.
Since the 1940’s the iconic superhero has stood for “Truth, Justice and the American Way,” but now he will stand for “Truth, Justice… and a Better Tomorrow.”
DC Comic’s Chief Creative Officer and Publisher, Jim Lee, explained that the shift in the motto is intended to make Superman a more global character.
“To better reflect the storylines that we are telling across DC and to honor Superman’s incredible legacy over 80 years of building a better world, Superman’s motto is evolving,” Lee explained at the DC FanDome event on Saturday according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter. “Superman has long been a symbol of hope who inspires people, and it is that optimism and hope that powers him forward with this new mission statement.”
The process of stripping the Kansas-raised superhero of his red white and blue roots has been a bit of a roller coaster ride for many years.
Superman’s “American Way” is thought to first be broadcast from a 1940’s radio show, “Adventures of Superman.” But by 2011, Superman announced, “I am renouncing my US citizenship,” in the 900th issue of Action Comics in favor of seeking a more global reach.
“I’m tired of having my actions construed as instruments of U.S. policy,” the superhero said. “‘Truth, Justice and the American Way’ – it’s not enough anymore. The world’s too small. Too connected.”
In 2013, the tide turned towards his patriotic roots in the film “Man of Steel.” Superman, played by Henry Cavill said, “I’m from Kansas. It’s about as American as it gets.”
This is the second blow in the past week to the once-classic cartoon after it was announced earlier last week that he would come out as bisexual, which was lauded by some media as “heroic.”
Superman actor Dean Cain, who portrayed the character on TV in the 1990s, didn’t find the move that bold. He thought there was a missed opportunity to do something truly brave and have the character fight real evil in the world today.

“There’s real evil in this world today, real corruption and government overreach,” Cain said. “Plenty of things to fight against. Human trafficking; real actual slavery going on. It’d be great to tackle those issues; shine a light on those issues…I’d like to see the character doing that. I’d read that comic.”
For the time being, the fictional cape-wearing hero still appears to prefer using the pronoun “he” but after recently being recast as a bisexual or gay character, it’s possible in the future his character will be referred to as the “Non-binary Sentient Being of Steel.”
But some foreshadowed the next tweak the publisher might make to the superhero.
Well they really need to remove “Super” from the character’s name because “Super” denotes supremacy and he is a white male. And now that I think about it, they also need to remove the “man” out of the character’s name as well because that’s sexist.

In the meantime, both proponents and critics of the revamped motto took to Twitter to express their feelings about the blue bodysuit clad cartoon dropping ties with America.
The ‘woke’ sickness is terribly deep & the contamination is extremely pervasive!
Who/what will save us from utter destruction if we cannot count on the man of steel & his dedication to ‘The American Way?’

The original motto was “the never ending search for truth and justice”. The “American way” part was added later.
Considering that Superman is basically a Jesus metaphor this actually fits since Jesus loves all mankind, not just Americans.
Cant wait for the Right to flip out.

Considering all the superhero action figures, including Superman, are almost exclusively made in China,,,,

It was always strange to just think that Superman would only ever think of just one small territory in the world let alone the Universe and not think of other countries and cultures, especially from an alien organism. Glad they changed it for the better
