The Republican National Committee has just released a 7-minute video that showcases Democrat officials’ support and endorsement for defunding the police as they attempt to distance themselves from the radical movement.
The damning video is entitled “7 Minutes of Democrats Saying Defund The Police.” It drops as Democrats are desperately trying to move away from the movement as crime skyrockets across the nation. It is a race to revise their history as the midterm elections approach in 2022.
The video takes aim at a long list of prominent Democrats who have all spoken out in favor of defunding the police. Many on the left from “Squad” icon Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) have spouted the same talking points calling for solidarity against the funding of the police.
The video starts off with Ocasio-Cortez saying, “We’ve been talking about defunding the police.” She is one of the strongest and loudest leaders of the movement.
“There are some issues that we ask police to do… mental health issues or policing in schools and all the rest, that we can perhaps shuffle some of the money around,” Pelosi proposed.

“Suck it up. Defunding the police has to happen. We need to defund the police,” Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), who is another “Squad” member and a Black Lives Matter activist, states in the video provided by Fox News.
Vice President Kamala Harris is on the video applauding Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti when he called for defunding the police.
“…not only do we need to disinvest from police but we need to completely dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department…,” Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) declared.
New York Mayor Bill de Blasio announces in the video, “We will be moving funding from the NYPD to youth initiatives and social services.”
Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Marcia Fudge also called for the defunding of the police, “They are talking about reducing the allocation of resources to that department and I think every single city in this country ought to be thinking about the same thing.”
“Yes, I support the defund movement,” bluntly stated Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA).
Director of the United States Domestic Policy Council Susan Rice remarked, “I’m for responsible reallocation of resources.”
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer stated, “I think you do all those other things and you don’t need all the money that’s going to the police department. So yeah, the spirit of it, I do support that.”
“You don’t have one bad apple. You don’t have four bad apples. You have a system-wide problem in that police department,” failed Senate and presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) proclaimed.
“And only by completely dismantling that system and rebuilding it intentionally with the community members at the table do you have any hope of getting it right,” he asserted.
The quotes go on and on and on. It graphically shows that a great many leading Democrats have spoken out in favor of defunding the police. They own that and are now ostensibly attempting to whitewash it. The GOP is not letting them forget what they said and did regarding police funding.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) has recently hired new top employees who have a history of pushing defund the police rhetoric. It’s very bad timing and reportedly very unpopular with voters.
A number of moderate Democrats have blamed House losses in November on the defund the police movement. It appears that Democrats have spent most of the year trying to extricate themselves from it only to inexplicably put supporters of the movement in charge of the party.
People on social media sounded off over the Democrats’ defund the police efforts:
None of the political figures that supported defunding police departments should be allowed to have any security details or forces for protection for themselves or any of their blood relatives, period. This should be enforced by law enforcement throughout America.

Defund police? First, ask these politicians to defund their security service. If I have to live in an unsafe environment so should they.

The next thing you’ll hear from them is hail to China or Russia. If this is such a great idea then they should get rid of their personal security first. They should walk through high crime areas and feel like ordinary citizens, not knowing if they can make it all the way home.

Promoting to defund the police yet bitching because no one is coming to their rescue in their own backyard while they kill each other, yeah genius!!! 🙄

So many dems said defund the police!! That made crime explode in dem cities!! Then the rich dems paid for private security, while poor Americans suffered in crime ridden cities with not enough police protection!!

It’s their phrase and it’s their actions. When do the Democratic cities destroyed by riots and destruction get dealt with? There are innocent people involved that have no way out. How much longer do we ignore the violence against the innocent?
Waiting for a Democrat to answer.
