Americans are openly fighting back against coronavirus vaccine mandates that are creating environments of open “segregation.”
A powerful video shared on social media this week appears to show the enforcement of the vaccine mandate in an eatery where the customer, who was being refused service because he was apparently unvaccinated, pushed back against the order, asking if the restaurant was going to “enforce segregation.”
The video, posted by a Twitter user with the handle @AnonCitizenUK, shows the incident that reportedly happened in New York where restaurants, museums, entertainment venues, and gyms have recently begun to enforce rules that require their employees and customers to be vaccinated in order to be allowed indoors.
“Family denied food for not having a [email protected] card,” read the caption on the tweet which included the compelling two-minute video in which the man stands his ground and challenges everyone else in the restaurant.

“So you’re refusing to serve us? Are you refusing to serve us?” asked the customer who was off-camera.
“So you’re going to enforce segregation because we just told you that we’re religiously exempt,” he told the server, referring to his family and pushing back when the restaurant staffer claimed, “you told us you had your vaccination card.”
“I would never tell you that,” the customer asserted, going on to announce that he and his family were not leaving while directing the staff member to re-read the sign purportedly posted on the restaurant with the COVID guidelines.
The man was identified as Ray Velez, and he posted the video he took at Juliana’s Pizza in Brooklyn on his Instagram page on Tuesday.
“The world needs to see the ugly face of segregation. @julianaspizza you my friends need to wake up,I told I would expose your business for it’s participation in the modern day segregation. share this far and wide everyone discrimination will not be tolerated,” he wrote on Instagram where the video has been viewed over 125,000 times.
Velez took things a step further at the pizza place when he turned his attention to other patrons in the restaurant.
“Everybody in here’s okay with that…setting up segregation in society?” he asked, panning the camera around the eatery. “Oh, we don’t have our vaccine card so now the kids can’t eat, we can’t eat. You guys are okay with that? This is the America you want to live in?”
As if to prove his point, a man at another table responded “yup” and directed his middle finger at Velez who was clearly seated with his children. Other people could be heard now commenting as he became increasingly frustrated with the response, or lack thereof.
“This is America and in America, everybody can eat!” he exclaimed, continuing to ask other customers if they accepted the “segregation” of people based on their vaccine status.
Amazingly, many restaurant patrons appeared to ignore him.
Juliana’s Pizza commented on a Twitter post about the incident, writing: “We take the health and safety of our customers seriously. We also face steep fines if we violate City Hall’s order. We are permitted to and do accommodate unvaccinated individuals for outdoor, socially distanced dining & takeout. We appreciate your understanding & support.”
Though there were social media users who praised the eatery for purportedly upholding Democrat Mayor Bill de Blasio’s vaccine mandates, plenty of others got the point Velez was making.
Didn’t you see the how so many forced exclusion on the people who couldn’t wear masks for the past year and a half?
You all allowed this and followed ridiculous mask mandates and cheered on the exclusion or you just didn’t say anything like these people.

I’m an atheist and I stand with the dude and his family. You don’t give the finger to a man standing up for his rights and just wanting to eat. Freedom of belief, freedom of speech, freedom of choice. Being eroded here in New Zealand, don’t let it happen in the great USA, please.

Disgraceful. My hearts breaks for this family and especially the children that have to endure this! What a shame!

Three years ago this video would have sparked an outrage. It is simply unbelievable that within such a short period of time people’s minds and hearts have been changed to accept segregation, discrimination, and hatred towards others. Praying for the man and his family.
