A Florida father only identified as “Jimmy” is furious over his teenage daughter’s alleged rapist being set free after he was arrested for sexually assaulting the girl in a restaurant where she worked.
“This is not justice. He should be with no bond, held with no bond,” the incensed father justifiably told WSVN-TV of Miami on Wednesday.
Jimmy’s 16-year-old daughter worked with the suspect, Wilver Lopez Vega, at the restaurant in Pompano Beach where she was reportedly attacked and raped. Vega, 35, was released on Wednesday night from Broward County Jail and was allowed to walk free.
On Monday, around closing time when the teenager was cleaning up for the day, Vega allegedly pulled the girl against her will into a room and pinned her with her arms behind her back. He then brutally raped her according to her father.

“He pushed her into a section where, you know, there’s kind of, like, not cameras visually, but you could see what’s happening,” the father stated. Footage of the attack has evidently not been released to the public out of privacy concerns.
The girl has been traumatized and is still grappling with the trauma of the assault. She will have to undergo an examination and a rape kit will need to be processed. The teen will be photoed and interviewed extensively on the attack.
“My daughter is in really bad shape. She is trying to recuperate, you know? She’s going through tests and stuff now with her mom,” the father angrily remarked.
The girl’s father appears to be someone that the assailant may regret crossing. He issued a chilling warning to Vega that he should probably take to heart.
“If he doesn’t spend the rest of his life in prison, he better be careful out here,” the father threatened. It appeared to be more of a promise than a threat.
Vega is currently facing a felony charge of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. He admitted to having sex with the girl but claims it was consensual and has been going on for a long time.
The girl’s father says that is an outrageously blatant lie.
Vega was released from jail pending further legal action and had no comment on the alleged rape of the girl when confronted by a reporter. There was no word of bail and it is unknown exactly why the man was released considering the severity of the alleged crime.
