Hannity: Biden’s stammering, incoherent CNN town hall an ‘unmitigated disaster’

Fox News host Sean Hannity tore into President Joe Biden’s CNN town hall calling it an “unmitigated disaster” and noting that the president’s answers were “completely incomprehensible” as he staggered through the scripted appearance with host Don Lemon.

“Many of Joe’s answers were completely incomprehensible,” Hannity stated. “At times no one seemed to know what the hell Joe was even talking about. Not even Don Lemon, not the audience, not even Joe himself.”

The conservative host highlighted the incidents during the town hall where Biden stammered and stuttered when answering softball questions concerning vaccinating children. He called it a “total cognitive mess.”

Hannity no longer finds Biden’s incompetence and challenged cognitive ability amusing, especially since national security is at stake. He remarked that even when Biden was able to put together a coherent thought, he was “almost always lying.” That includes his claim that crime in the United States has declined, according to Hannity.

“[He] doesn’t really seem to have a firm grasp on any issues of any substance,” Hannity commented. “And sometimes it seems like he’s living in this alternate reality of his.”

It’s hard to tell if Biden actually believes some of the statements he is making or if he’s just being dishonest. He alluded to the crisis on the southern border being nearly over and stated that illegal immigrants in custody have been cut by 90%. Hannity pointed out that this is due to them being released into the country.

That wasn’t the only issue that Biden had honesty issues with. Hannity stated that the president “lied” about inflation as well. He brushed it off as inconsequential and tried to foist the idea off on viewers that unemployment benefits weren’t keeping workers at home despite a massive labor shortage.

“It’s way past time that the administration answers serious questions about the president’s clear, cognitive decline,” Hannity declared. “It is no longer in dispute. But don’t expect tough questions from the media mob.”

“Needless to say, this probably will be the last town hall we’ll see in a very long time,” the Fox News host predicted.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham agreed with Hannity, stating, “Now, CNN’s town hall with Biden was such a pathetic exercise of fawning and futility, I was almost going to skip the full dissection tonight. But then I changed my mind. During the 90-minute event, it was excruciating, we saw a sitting president embarrass himself with a combination of lies, obfuscation, and purposeful ignorance. And we saw a television host nod along as the sad spectacle unfolded.”

“Now, there’s no nice way to put this, I’m sorry, but Joe Biden is losing it. He is rarely capable of starting and finishing a complete thought without kind of wandering off on some meaningless tangent. Like when he was asked about how the administration can promote vaccines in the African-American community,” she added.

Few tuned into the CNN town hall event. Fox News pummeled CNN in ratings for the evening.

According to Nielsen Media Research, CNN’s town hall averaged 1.4 million total viewers and 306,000 viewers in the 25-54 age demo. Fox News averaged 2.7 million total viewers and 464,000 in the 25-54 age demo during the same time slot while airing “Tucker Carlson Tonight” and the first part of “Hannity.” Sean Hannity’s show featured a town hall with Florida Republicans, including Gov. Ron DeSantis, Sen. Marco Rubio, Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar, and Miami Mayor Francis Suarez discussing the pro-freedom protests in Cuba.

CNN’s town hall finished last in viewership among the cable networks. MSNBC came in second place with The Rachel Maddow show averaging 1.6 million viewers Wednesday night.
