Dr. Ben Carson emphatically stated that he’s glad the left is pushing Critical Race Theory so hard because it is causing more and more people to “wake up” to the threat of the race-based teaching doctrine.
Appearing on Fox News, Carson tied the movement by Democrats to Marxism.
“It was obviously the left that did this and they are basing this on some of the things that were said by people like Vladimir Lenin and various Marxists. Lenin said give me your children to teach for four years and the seeds I plant will never be uprooted. What they are trying to do is actually indoctrinate the kids. This is not a new thing. This has been going on for a while,” he said.
“I think we saw the fruits of it last summer in Portland and Seattle. These are people who are coming to age who have been taught to hate the United States of America and a lot of it is based on slavery, the 1619 Project, many of the things and critical race theory. Everything looking at race and going back to race and making the children think that that’s the primary indicator for success or failure in their life,” he noted.
“And it is interesting because we are a Judeo-Christian foundation nation. What does the Bible say? ‘Man looketh on outward appearance but the Lord looketh on the heart.’ Isn’t that the same thing that Dr. King was saying? Judge people on the basis of their character, not their external characteristics. So they are really turning a lot of our foundational beliefs on their head,” Carson remarked. “This will sound funny, but I’m kind of glad they are doing it. They’re pushing it so hard it is waking people up. We were sort of like the frog in the saucepan slowly being cooked and now they turned the burners up and people are saying ouch and getting active. That is going to help us as a nation.”

Carson recounted his childhood growing up poor in Detroit in an article on Fox News and contended that his destiny was never based on race but rather on hard work and faith. “We cannot allow CRT to rob American children of that same hope that was instilled in me,” he stated.
He went on to reference professor Ibram X. Kendi who created the antiracist dogma that lies at the heart of Critical Race Theory. Kendi calls CRT an “imagined monster” that is used as a scare tactic to avoid talking about race. Carson says that claim is “clearly false.”
“The American people aren’t divided, the American people are being divided.” Kendi wrote in an article entitled, “There Is No Debate Over Critical Race Theory.”
“The Republican operatives, who dismiss the expositions of critical race theorists and anti-racists in order to define critical race theory and anti-racism, and then attack those definitions, are effectively debating themselves,” he wrote. “They have conjured an imagined monster to scare the American people and project themselves as the nation’s defenders from that fictional monster.”
“To start, it’s important to understand that the term ‘antiracism’ as used by Kendi, which sounds non-threatening enough, does not mean what you think,” Carson countered.
“Indeed, far from being antiracist, the ideology promoted by Kendi and fellow travelers is anything but. It redefines reality to assign guilt and blame based solely on race. Classifying persons in such a manner is literally the definition of racism,” the former HUD secretary remarked.
“Contrary to Kendi’s recent claim, CRT and so-called antiracism are very much real, and are the vanguard of a radical, revolutionary movement that seeks to overthrow the established order in every area of society, including capitalism itself,” Carson contended. He went on to posit that the left is trying to replace equality of opportunity with the assumption that all white people are racist oppressors and all minorities are inherent victims.
But Carson also sees the attempted indoctrination as a turning point for the nation.
“But if there’s any silver lining in the Marxist’s aggressive zeal to force CRT on our communities, it’s that their efforts are waking up the nation like few issues in recent memory, mobilizing citizens around the country to engage school boards and local governments to remove racist conspiracy theories like CRT from schools, businesses and government,” he noted. “This renewed engagement could be a promising first step in eroding the decades-long dominance of Marxism in American education.”
Carson also spoke on Critical Race Theory during a wide-ranging interview with Newsmax TV host Eric Bolling on June 1. He called the theory “a bunch of garbage.”

The left aggressively attacked Carson on Twitter for coming out against Critical Race Theory, but many others supported his intellectual stance on the issue:
He’s right. CRT is just a crutch for people too lazy to get out there and do it on their own and an excuse to fail.

Truth is the left’s welfare system has created a permanent underclass of gov’t dependent people. A program which is about to be massively expanded. The left’s “solution” is EXACTLY the problem.
