President Joe Biden is certainly pulling no punches when it comes to gun control, highlighting “assault weapons” and an “epidemic of gun violence” while speaking on his plan to counter a surge in crime — a surge that coincides with a series in policies introduced by Democrats that appear to be contributing to the crime wave.
At a time when the Second Amendment is perhaps under its greatest attack, there’s a new media platform being introduced that will focus heavily on our right to bear arms, offering its content free of charge.
Armed American News (AAN) will be a contemporary outlet distinctly different from the familiar mainstream sources, designed to disrupt the typical news cycle, stated a news release announcing its launch.
“Our site is staffed by professional pro-gun journalists who keep their opinions where they belong — on the opinion page,” co-founder Mark Walters said. “This way, you don’t have to decipher truth from sentiment. It is deliberately separate.”
Walters is the host of Armed American Radio, and an NRA Certified Instructor in three disciplines. He’s also a long-standing vocal advocate for the Second Amendment.
“AAN is a rebellious new media outlet built upon the ideals of truth and choice. I have told my radio audience for years not to be ‘headline surfers’ as the mainstream media outlets use their headlines to mislead. That changes today,” Walters said. “Americans are hungry for headlines they can trust without the rhetoric or assumptions we’ve become accustomed to.”
He rejects media personalities “who continuously attempt to sway our opinions under the guise of honesty.”
“People are tired of reading headlines filled with speculation and conclusions that have no factual basis,” Walters said. “The mainstream media have shown their hand, and we don’t trust them.”
Co-founder Lee Williams vowed that readers will not see MSM clickbait headlines on AAN.
“What you see is what you get, and we pride ourselves in delivering the timely news stories you won’t find on networks like CNN,” Williams said, adding that Americans “will find the AAN structure refreshing and forthright.”
“If we make a mistake, we won’t hide it or pretend it didn’t happen like other news channels. You will hear about it from us, and we will correct it. Since we don’t rely on crowdfunding or memberships,” Williams added. “AAN will remain free forever. And because we respect your privacy, we will zealously protect your personal information.”
AAN will also offers a wide variety of product reviews featuring the latest guns and gear to hit the marketplace.
“It’s no secret they are coming for our guns, and we will never compromise our belief in our God-given constitutional right to self-defense,” Walters insisted. “We cherish our freedoms and love the United States of America, and sharing the truth with our fellow Americans about Second Amendment freedoms is long overdue.”
Last week, President Biden acted as if guns are responsible for the wave of violent crime hitting many Democrat-run cities and in the quest to target so-called assault weapons, and he misrepresented the Second Amendment.
“The Second Amendment, from the day it was passed, limited the type of people who could own a gun and what type of weapon you could own,” Biden said. “You couldn’t buy a cannon.”
As seen here, no such limits are detailed: “A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”
Even left-leaning PolitiFact rated Biden’s assertion “False.”
