VP Harris hands out faceless Kamala cookies on plane: ‘Siri, what does narcissism look like?’

Somehow, it’s only fitting that Vice President Kamala Harris handed out cookies in the shape of her likeness to the press pool as she embarked on her diplomatic trip to Guatemala and Mexico — cookies complete with a pearl necklace, but no face.

Equally fitting, given the circumstances, the flight was forced to return to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland about 25 minutes after it had taken off because of a “technical issue,” according to senior adviser Symone Sanders, who said there were no major safety concerns.

“I’m good, I’m good,” Harris told reporters upon exiting the plane. “We all said a little prayer, but we’re good.”

Who knows, given how this administration operates, perhaps they forgot the Kamala Harris faceless cookies.

Harris hand delivered the cookies to her media fan club in the back of Air Force Two, according to USA Today White House correspondent Courtney Subramanian.

President Joe Biden had tapped Harris to lead the effort to address the migration crisis at the U.S. southern border and “lead our efforts with Mexico and the Northern Triangle, and the countries that can help, need help in stemming the movement of so many folks, stemming the migration to our southern border.”

The irony being that the “movement of so many folks” was aided and abetted in large part by the enticing immigration policies Biden ushered in, which included removing many of the effective deterrents put in place by the previous administration. Namely, the Remain in Mexico policy for asylum seekers initiated by former President Donald Trump was reversed, and ‘catch and release’ was reinstituted.

Appointed border czar on March 24, some 75 days ago, Harris has still not had a press conference or visited the border. Aside from reported phone calls with some Central American officials, she has done little to stem a record level of migrants flowing into the U.S. illegally. At last report, there were more than 20,000 unaccompanied minors in custody and the humanitarian crisis continues to fester — with virtually zero media interest.

And since Harris is doing such a crackerjack job on the southern border, just last week, in what reads like a bad joke, Biden appointed her to lead a White House effort to expand voting rights — which is more or less code for establishing as wide open a process as possible, with few controls. This focus coming after a record level of voting in the 2020 election.

Upon arriving in Guatemala City, Harris was greeted by Guatemala’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Pedro Brolo.

The two are seen in a video shared by Sanders waving to the assembled crowd.

The two-day trip to Central America marks the first foreign trip Harris has taken, as she will reportedly work to address the “root causes” of the crisis. While their answer appears to be to dumping large amounts of cash in these countries, Harris could have remained in Washington if she wanted to find the root cause.

But those cookies.
