Greg Kelly dismantles ‘drama queen’ AOC over Jan. 6 ‘therapy’: She knows how to work it

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., knows a thing or two about contrived drama, just think back to her June 2018 trip to the southern border, where the self-described socialist, dressed in all white, was photographed doubling over in grief — as she looked upon an empty parking lot.

It is on that note that some, like Newsmax’s Greg Kelly, are a bit skeptical about the revelation that Ocasio-Cortez is in therapy over the events that occurred on Jan. 6 at the U.S. Capitol.

The Democratic lawmaker revealed Friday during a radio interview on “Latino USA” that she’s attending therapy over the “extraordinarily traumatizing” protest, saying that for many members of Congress, it was as if they “served in war.”

“Oh yeah, I’m doing therapy but also I’ve just slowed down, AOC shared. “I think the Trump administration had a lot of us, especially Latino communities, in a very reactive mode.”

Kelly referenced that “silly person” we all know as Ocasio-Cortez as he played a clip of her engaged in some heavy-duty theatrics on the House floor — take note of the empty chamber.

“Here she is, having a meltdown on the floor of the House of Representatives at some point,” Kelly said. “Anyway, I think that she’s very, very silly. But, she’s getting therapy and, uh… she obviously could use some.”

In pointing out that Ocasio-Cortez said it was because of January 6, Kelly motioned to the clip still playing to inform viewers that was from last year.

The Newsmax anchor then reminded all that in recounting her dramatic experience the day of the protest, Ocasio-Cortez was “BS-ing everybody about what happened to her on Jan. 6.”

He then played footage from a video Ocasio-Cortez did, claiming that, as the rioters approached and then breached her office, she was told by a staffer to “hide, hide, run and hide.”

“I thought I was going to die,” she explained in the video, adding that she hid in her office bathroom. She said a man broke into her office and she could hear him yelling, “Where is she!? Where is she!?”

Turns out, that man was a Capitol Police officer — whom AOC would say appeared angry and hostile to her.

Even worse, Ocasio-Cortez was not in the Capitol, but across the street in the Canon House Office Building. And while the media was quick to run with her account, and even embellish it, Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., whose office is two doors down from the Democrat, took to Twitter to declare that no one had breached the building.

(On that note, fellow “squad” member, U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., cried on the House floor over the protest, even though she admitted that she was not at the Capitol that day — she watched events on television from home.)

“Ok, keep being the drama queen,” Kelly summarized. “She knows how to do that — can we play the video of her flailing one more time. Because everything she just said was not true. It’s been proven to be false.”

“This is a person given to dramatics,” he concluded, suggesting that perhaps people should just “ignore her.”

But to hear her tell the tale Friday, Ocasio-Cortez is concerned about post-traumatic stress syndrome.

“After the 6th, I took some time and it was really Ayanna Pressley when I explained to her what happened to me, like the day of, because I ran to her office and she was like, ‘you need to recognize trauma,’” she said.

“And I feel like I learned this the hard way after my father had passed away when I was a teenager … That happened at a young age and I locked it away. You have to live with it for years,” Ocasio-Cortez continued — this coming just before she admitted that she’s in therapy.

As for dramatics, she said the U.S. was “sixty seconds” away from “a martial state” on Jan. 6, a reference to former Vice President Mike Pence being taken out just as “these terrorists, insurrectionists got into the Senate chamber.”

“This was an all-out attempted coup,” Ocasio-Cortez proclaimed — which would have essentially resulted in the buffalo horn-wearing QAnon Shaman running the country?
