In the “dead of the night,” the Biden administration is quietly flying migrant children into the state of Tennessee — if not others — without informing the state.
That’s according to lawmakers in Tennessee, the assertion coming after WRCB-TV Channel 3 obtained video of one plane arriving Friday, May 14 just before 1:30 a.m.
“Chattanooga’s Wilson Air Center is receiving planes carrying migrant children who are being bused to multiple southeastern cities during overnight hours,” the local NBC affiliate reported.
And that was just one plane, as WRCB-TV reported on at least four such flights and shared additional video footage.
A second video shared by the affiliate showed migrant children arriving late Saturday night, which followed a third plane arriving Friday afternoon, according to the source who provided the video. A fourth plane arrived early Wednesday, May 19, WRCB-TV reported, citing flight records.
Children who appear to be in their early teens are seen carrying matching bags and boarding buses after disembarking from the flights. The buses, staged on the runway, were said to be owned by Coast to Coast Tours of East Point, Georgia.
A Coast-to-Coast employee told WRCB-TV the buses were dispatched to Chattanooga as part of a contract with the Department of Defense and that company’s drivers have previously traveled to Mobile, Alabama, and Atlanta to transport children.
While the same media that played a huge role in President Joe Biden being elected continues to run interference for Biden on the border, the crisis has reached historic proportions. In April, Customs and Border Protection encountered 178,000 migrants crossing into the U.S. illegally, a 90% jump from a year ago and an increase from the number encountered in March. The U.S. encountered more unaccompanied children in history in March, and it’s difficult to determine how many are now in custody.
And though it all, Vice President Kamala Harris, who was tapped by Biden to address the border crisis, has yet to even visit the border.
In fact, Rep. Ashley Hinson, R-Iowa, is proposing that Congress ban taxpayer-funded travel for Harris until she visits the border and submits a report on her findings.
“We have an absolute crisis at the border, and Vice President Harris was appointed to lead the administration’s efforts on the border crisis, but it’s been 56 days, and in that time she hasn’t been to the border once,” Hinson told Fox News on Wednesday.
“She hasn’t held a news conference on the administration’s efforts for a plan, and I think it’s time she does that,” she added.
U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., said in a statement this is happening “without the knowledge or permission of the communities involved.”
“Joe Biden has created a crisis at the southern border. Biden’s actions and rhetoric have caused thousands of illegal aliens to flood our borders and overwhelm our Border Patrol agents, who have been able to apprehend just half a million of them,” Blackburn said. “Now his administration is secretly transporting the migrants the Border Patrol did catch to communities throughout the United States. They are doing this in the dead of night without the knowledge or permission of the communities involved. Joe Biden has put these children at risk. He is putting Tennesseans at risk. The American people deserve the truth now.”
What is the Biden Administration hiding with regard to unaccompanied migrant children? Are they being brought to Chattanooga? Other parts of Tennessee? Tennesseans deserve to know, and @MarshaBlackburn, @RepChuck, and I are fighting to get answers. pic.twitter.com/TPMsUPHi2v

Blackburn appeared Thursday on Fox News’ “Hannity” to say the administration “is shifting the burden to the states.”
“Once they do that, they are making every state a border state. Every town a border town. This is the first link in a chain of bad immigration policy,” she said. “They are putting this cost for education, and child services and all the healthcare on to the states.”
The Republican senator said the U.S. “has now apprehended 500,000 people at the border from 160 countries.”
“They’re putting them on planes and flying them to states without any knowledge of the governors — I just talked to our governor tonight — and the governors don’t know it, the local officials don’t know it,” Blackburn said.

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, a Republican, denounced the administration in a released statement.
“The Biden Administration refuses to secure the border and is instead scattering unaccompanied kids all over the country with no regard for the consequences,” Lee said. “When we push back and demand answers, they cut off transparency and embolden one of the worst human trafficking crises we’ve seen at our border in the last 20 years.”
U.S. Sen. Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn., said that President Biden has now made every town in America “a border town.”
“I have warned for months that President Biden’s failure at the border would result in a systematic resettling of migrants in our communities, burdening our schools, hospitals, and law enforcement agencies, and bringing an increase in drug trafficking and human smuggling,” Hagerty said. “A new reality is happening in our country—every town is now a border town.”
