Legendary rocker Ted Nugent ripped Dr. Anthony Fauci and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as global health agencies, over their handling of the COVID-19 pandemic in an interview earlier this week.
Nugent, known for his mega-hits “Dog Eat Dog,” “Free for All,” and “Cat Scratch Fever,” among others, told Rose Tennent of the Rose Unplugged show on Pittsburgh’s WJAS that, contrary to previous reports, he has never called the virus a “scam,” while going on to criticize the country’s lead immunologist and a host of federal and global health organizations.
“I never once in my life called the Chinese or the Wuhan virus — whichever name you wanna give it — I never used the word ‘hoax,'” said Nugent, who told the host he actually became ill from COVID-19. “I never said it was a ‘scam.’ I said Punk Boy Fauci was a scam. The government is a scam. The WHO (World Health Organization) is a scam. The CDC is a scam. The shutdown is a scam.
“The control of American freedoms and families is a scam,” the rocker continued.
Nugent went on to say that he got the virus and, at the time, news stories trended celebrating his illness.
“Think of the soullessness, think of the hate-monger, drunk, mindless, devil, punks that would actually get a kick out of a fellow human suffering,” said Nugent. “That’s all you need to know about our team versus their team.”
Later, Nugent said that he’s not “anti-vax,” noting that his mother and father made the decision to have him vaccinated as a child “because they were proven” to work.
“We are against somebody coming at me with a needle when they won’t even tell you what’s in it when our research proves that what’s in it is bad for you,” he told the radio host, who went on to say that many people he knows, including his band members, have gotten a COVID-19 vaccine.
But he added that some who have been vaccinated still went on to contract the disease.
“Fauci’s a liar,” Nugent declared. “The CDC is a scam artist. [President Joe] Biden is some sort of freak, I don’t even know what species this guy is.”
Nugent has had hard words for Fauci before. Earlier this month during a Facebook Live presentation, he took Fauci to task while also defending My Pillow founder and CEO Mike Lindell, whose brands were dropped by several major retailers after he came out in support of various alleged conspiracies surrounding the 2020 election.
Warning: Strong Language
“Look at what they’re doing to Mike Lindell. The H-E-B supermarkets, the Target stores, Walmart, Kroger, Starbucks, Bed, Bath & Beyond literally threw out that great entrepreneur Mike Lindell of MyPillow, who’s in the asset column, creating thousands of jobs [and] quality products,” he said.
He went on to criticize so-called ‘woke’ corporations as well over their support for leftist demonstrators and riots.
“And Delta and Coca-Cola and H-E-B and Kroger and Disney and Target — Target supports the people who burnt down their stores but not a great entrepreneur like Mike Lindell who asked legitimate questions about the 2020 election,” he added.
“Asking legitimate questions about whether the mask works, even though that lying piece of s**t Fauci said you don’t need ’em on Monday, but on Wednesday you need ’em, but you don’t need ’em on Thursday, but for the weekend you’ve gotta wear two of ’em. What a pr**k. What a lying, genocidal, criminal, Satanic pr**k. Who would listen to Fauci?” Nugent said.
