Long before Vice President Kamala Harris entered the political realm, and even before she began her career as the district attorney of San Francisco in 2004, she used to be known for something else altogether.

Back in 2001, at the tender age of 36, she used to be known for getting herself some “Mon-tail,” as in legendary TV talk show host Montel Williams.

Williams even admitted it last year, writing in a tweet that he and Harris “briefly dated about 20 years ago when we were both single. So what?”

“I have great respect for Sen. Harris. I have to wonder if the same stories about her dating history would have been written if she were a male candidate?” he angrily added.

The tweet was posted in response to someone drawing attention to Harris’s past.

Look:

There’s even video footage showing the two together walking the red carpet at the Eighth Annual RACE to Erase MS in Los Angeles.

“At the time, Harris was an under-the-radar lawyer in San Francisco. She and Montel Williams were accompanied on the red carpet by the TV host’s daughter Ashley,” according to an Inside Edition report from 2019.

Watch:

Williams is one of several apparent flings she had before she married her husband, Doug Emhoff, in 2014.

The most notorious fling was the one between her and then-San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, 30 years her senior, back in the 1990s. During the affair, Brown reportedly rewarded her with two lucrative appointments within the city government.

This bombshell first came up after Harris announced her candidacy for president in 2019. A week after the announcement, Brown published an op-ed to the San Francisco Chronicle revealing the affair.

“Yes, we dated. It was more than 20 years ago. Yes, I may have influenced her career by appointing her to two state commissions when I was Assembly speaker. And I certainly helped with her first race for district attorney in San Francisco,” he admitted.

Brown then accused Harris of having threatened him with indictment after she rose to the top and became the city’s district attorney:

At the time, conservative commentator Tomi Lahren accused then-Democrat presidential candidate of having slept her way to the top.

Regardless, for whatever reason, the vice president’s relationship with Williams went viral again this week, provoking a hash of mockery, some of it irreverent.

Look:

This going viral again could bode badly for her poll numbers. Recent polling data shows that she remains greatly disliked among a majority of the American people.

According to a YouGov poll published this week, 57 percent of Independents and 84 percent of Republicans have a “very or somewhat unfavorable” view of her. Only Democrats view her favorably at 74 percent, but even then, there’s 19 percent who view her unfavorably.

As noted by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Glenn Greenwald, it’s no shocker given that she’s kind of always been disliked:

She’s disliked by the right for being a far-left Democrat, and she’s disliked by the left for being a former “cop” who’d prosecuted pot smokers.

And she’s disliked by everybody for her bizarre habit of bursting into laughter at the most inopportune times, including when being asked about the southern U.S. border crisis that she was tasked with resolving but that she’s done nothing about.
