Leftists lose it over reports Kayleigh McEnany could be joining forces with Fox News

If Fox News wants to fix its sagging ratings, hiring former Trump White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany would surely help that cause, and according to reports, that’s just what the network wants to do.

A financial disclosure report obtained by watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington reflects an agreement in place between McEnany and Fox News for the former Trump official to come aboard this month, according to The Hill.

While the document did not specify what role McEnany would be taking, a Fox News spokesperson told The Hill that she “is not currently an employee or contributor” at the network.

Citing a source familiar with the matter, the article said that while McEnany and Fox News held initial conversations about a role, those discussions were put on hold. The source added that the network remains open to hiring her in the future given the network does not condone cancel culture.

A graduate of both Georgetown University and Harvard Law School, McEnany is not only intelligent, but more than up to the task of countering the media narrative. This skill made her popular on the right, but the corrupt media establishment despised her.

McEnany, who used to be a CNN contributor, had a reputation for being prepared for the daily battles with the Trump-hating media — battles in which she came out on top, more often than not.

While there’s a proverbial revolving door between Democratic administrations and various cable news outlets, the media is quick to take note when Republican officials joining Fox News — this being one of the precious few opportunities available.

More from The Hill:

One of McEnany’s predecessors, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, took a role as a Fox contributor after leaving the White House in 2019. Senior Trump adviser Hope Hicks took a job at Fox Corporation upon leaving the White House in 2018, only to return to working for Trump later in his term.

Trump had also hired Bill Shine from Fox News to work as White House communications director ahead of the 2018 midterm elections. Former Trump administration officials John BoltonScott Atlas and others made frequent appearances on the network before joining the government.

One thing is certain, the left will go insane if McEnany ends up at Fox News — in fact, they already are!
