President Joe Biden has endlessly, exhaustively maintained that he wants “unity.”
“To overcome these challenges – to restore the soul and to secure the future of America – requires more than words,” he said in his inaugural address last week. “It requires that most elusive of things in a democracy: Unity. Unity.” Overall, Biden made nine references to unity in that speech.
But Fox News host Mark Levin sees something else in Biden.
“Joe Biden made much of the word unity,” he said to open “Life, Liberty & Levin” Sunday night. “Nothing that Joe Biden has done since his inauguration demonstrates any form of unity. It’s conformity. Conformity.”

Biden is “proudly signing” executive orders, which he described as “really radical and outrageous” that, for example, promote taxpayer-funded abortions; the Paris climate accords that benefit China and a “war on American energy, which “does more damage to us than the communist Chinese could ever hope to do”; the Chinese-controlled World Health Organization; and transgender activism that “destroys” girls’ sports, and more.
Biden has also wanted to bail out fiscally irresponsible blue-state governors and, on COVID-19, only wanted to “trash” President Donald Trump, rather than reveal a real plan to fight the virus, Levin said.
“There’s been no unity,” said Levin. “In fact, I think we’re in a real constitutional crisis.”
Which, Levin said, pertains to the upcoming impeachment trial that focuses on a “private citizen” who’s left public office.
He cited the House report on the impeachment vote, which he described as “most pathetic.”
“There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever in any form or way that the president of the United States incited an insurrection,” said Levin. He argued that if Trump wanted to “unleash” an insurrection, he would not send in a few hundred “nutjobs.”
He also pointed out that Democrats and their liberal advocates said nothing about an “insurrection” when rioters forced Trump into the underground White House bunker or plagued many American cities last year.
And now they want to impeach Trump as a private citizen.
“The Framers must be turning in their graves,” he added.
As for the impeachment trial, Levin pointed out that Democrats are pursuing a “backwards” agenda: they want to impeach him after he left office to brand him with a “scarlet letter” so he can’t run again, even though the normal order is to remove the person first, then decide if he or she can serve again.
But that was part of a bigger phenomenon, Levin added.
“This is all intended to punish Trump and his supporters,” Levin maintained. “Unity, remember folks. Unity! – no conformity and repression. That’s what we’re seeing right now.”
That includes publishers and Big Tech “strangling” conservatives’ ability to communicate, banks and credit card companies shunning conservatives, and “corporate media” kowtowing before the Biden administration.
“There’ll be no checks on Biden. There’ll be no checks on his autocratic rule,” said Levin, who added that we are living through one of America’s “bleakest periods.”
In a subsequent interview with Levin, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich added, “On the left you have a level of hatred, and a level of bitterness that is amazing.”
Gingrich said, “The degree to which the left in America hates America, hates conservatives, hates those who want to believe in the rule of law and feels totally self-righteous in their positions is really quite astonishing, and I think is a genuine threat to the survival of America as a system of law and a constitutional structure.”
Gingrich added, “It’s as though he (Biden) believes unity means surrender.”
