Third graders reportedly made to ‘deconstruct’ their identities, rank themselves according to power and privilege

An elementary school in Cupertino, California was reportedly caught brainwashing its third-grade students with the illiberal, racist doctrines of critical race theory.

Whistleblower documents provided to filmmaker, writer, and researcher Christopher Rufo of the Discovery Institute show that the children were forced to “deconstruct their racial and sexual identities” and “rank themselves according to their ‘power and privilege.'”

“[A] third-grade teacher at R.I. Meyerholz Elementary School began the lesson on ‘social identities’ during a math class. The teacher asked all students to create an ‘identity map,’ listing their race, class, gender, religion, family structure, and other characteristics,” Rufo reported Wednesday.

“The teacher explained that the students live in a ‘dominant culture’ of ‘white, middle class, cisgender, educated, able-bodied, Christian, English-speaker[s],’ who, according to the lesson, ‘created and maintained’ this culture in order ‘to hold power and stay in power.'”

The teacher basically taught the children that normal, everyday white people — particularly the ones who are Christian — are bad.

The teacher also reportedly forced the children to read from “This Book Is Antiracist,” a propaganda manual designed to inculcate children in the tenets of critical race theory.

The book has been endorsed by the likes of Ibram X. Kendi, the radical professor who last year compared Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett to “white colonizers” for the apparent crime of adopting Haitian children, whom he described as “props.”

Following a discussion on the book, the unnamed teacher then forced the students to “deconstruct their own intersectional identities and ‘circle the identities that hold power and privilege’ on their identity maps, ranking their traits according to the hierarchy,” according to Rufo.

“In a related assignment, the students were asked to write short essays describing which aspects of their identities ‘hold power and privilege’ and which do not. The students were expected to produce ‘at least one full page of writing.’ As an example, the presentation included a short paragraph about transgenderism and nonbinary sexuality,” Rufo reported.

As of the third week of January, the lesson-plan had reportedly been discontinued thanks to the efforts of a group of outraged parents — many of them Asians.

“We were shocked. They were basically teaching racism to my eight-year-old,” one of the parents told Rufo.

The unnamed parent reportedly “rallied” a group of families to protest the curriculum — and thankfully, the school principal acquiesced to their demands by suspending the lesson.

So problem solved, right? Not exactly.

At issue is the fact that this isn’t an isolated incident. Not by a long shot. Rufo has documented multiple cases throughout the country of radicalized teachers brainwashing their impressionable children with far-left propaganda.

He’s also documented cases of whole school districts forcing their teachers to consume critical race theory propaganda:

The parents in Cupertino believe the teacher who tried to brainwash their children isn’t the only radical in their district.

“We think some of our school board members are [critical race theory] activists and they must go,” one said.

Speaking with Rufo, another parent, a Chinese immigrant who grew up learning of how Mao’s Cultural Revolution had killed millions of people, warned that he sees the same mindset taking root in the states thanks to this sick ideology.

“[It divides society between] the oppressor and the oppressed, and since these identities are inborn characteristics people cannot change, the only way to change it is via violent revolution,” the parent reportedly said.

“Growing up in China, I had learned it many times. The outcome is the family will be ripped apart; husband hates wife, children hate parents. I think it is already happening here.”

Within a matter of years, critical race theory has infected virtually every institution in America, from academia to media and even the military.

Speaking on this phenomenon last summer, Fox News host Tucker Carlson likened contemporary America to North Korea.

“Who are we!? Well at this point, we’re becoming North Korea. We now believe in bloodguilt, we punish people for the sins of their relatives, we don’t allow individuals to have private thoughts, we hurt anyone who disagrees with orthodoxy,”  he said.

“We demand that the innocent plead guilty to things we know they didn’t do and then read their confessions in public to prove they’ve been re-educated — and then we brag about doing all of this.”

The remarks were made on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight amid the violent summer riots that were wholly defended and sometimes even promoted by the institutional left.
