With the clock quickly running out and all signs pointing to the end of the Trump presidency, Newsmax TV’s Greg Kelly is the eternal optimist.

As President Trump’s legal challenges in the face of widespread allegations of voter fraud fail to make ground in the courts, millions of Americans who voted for Trump are begrudgingly coming to terms with the idea that Joe Biden, an uninspiring 78-year-old career politician who has been in public office for nearly 50 years, may be our next commander in chief.

But with the Electoral College confirming Biden as the presidential winner, 306-232, and Inauguration Day just over three weeks away, Kelly remains focused on Trump’s second term.

Taking to Twitter on Monday, Kelly advocated for Dr. Scott Atlas to be tapped as the U.S. Surgeon General in the president’s next administration.

This is not an isolated incident, as Kelly tweeted on Sunday his preferred conditions on filling Trump’s cabinet in his second term.

“The Cabinet Room. In Term 2–no more “coaxing” anyone out of ‘retirement.’ Every ‘SECRETARY’ who needed to be ‘wooed’ into Government is a Disaster,” he tweeted. “Either you Want to Serve or you don’t. You either you have the skills or not. If you ‘don’t want to be here’ we don’t want you!”

Polling has shown that over 70% of Republican voters distrust the election results, with irregularities and other abnormalities convincing many that Trump won the election in a landslide.

The problem is, the Trump campaign has failed to convince the courts that fraud was a factor, which doesn’t preclude the reality that if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, you’ve got a duck — unfortunately, common sense and intuition have little bearing in a courtroom.

And the president continues to lose perceived allies, as seen Monday from The New York Post, which ran a front-page editorial imploring Trump to give up the fight.

“Mr. President … STOP THE INSANITY,” the giant-font headline declared. “You lost the election — here’s how to save your legacy.”

Kelly replied: “Thing is…he Didn’t Lose.”

Over the weekend, Kelley tweeted, “This is fightable. This is winnable.” On Monday, he doubled down on his claim that Trump “won.”

The Newsmax TV host also stated what millions of Americans have to be thinking, considering that “Sleepy Joe” Biden allegedly drew well over 12 million more votes that the record votes received by the Democratic messiah, Barack Obama.

“RECAP: A guy with Dementia got more votes than OBAMA. Still seems a bit ‘fishy’ but maybe that’s ‘just me,'” he tweeted.

In an attempt to inject hope into the Trump faithful, Kelly shared a tweet referencing the “Miracle on Ice,” when the underdog U.S. hockey team beat the juggernaut Soviet Union team in 1980.

In what may be the call of the century, sportscaster Al Michaels yelled out as the final seconds ticked off: “Do you believe in miracles? Yes!”

At this stage of the game, it just may take a miracle to ensure a second Trump term.
