Conservative commentator and columnist Ben Shapiro dropped a grenade on the mainstream media over their intentional failure to cover reports about Hunter Biden.
The host of “The Ben Shapiro Show” torched the media for deliberately suppressing information about the son of former Vice President Joe Biden and his questionable business dealings overseas. Shapiro lit into journalists and social media giants that effectively rigged the 2020 presidential election by dismissing controversial findings as just “Russian disinformation” and conspiracy theories.
“Hunter Biden has been under investigation since 2018. We only found out about this now,” Shapiro tweeted on Thursday in a thread reacting to the latest developments on the Biden family’s foreign connections.
“The media didn’t dig into allegations about Hunter during the entirety of the 2020 election cycle,” he added, as the controversy continues to grow.

In the latest news this week, Hunter Biden acknowledged what some already knew when he announced that he is under federal investigation over his “tax affairs.” The investigation was confirmed by the Biden transition team, and Joe Biden himself, on Wednesday.
“Meanwhile, according to CNN, the DOJ kept their investigation quiet ‘due to Justice Department guidelines prohibiting overt actions that could affect an election, the person said.’ Which means they kept quiet to affect an election,” Shapiro wrote on Twitter.

There was renewed outrage Wednesday as it became known that the Justice Department has been investigating Hunter Biden for two years, while keeping things under wraps so as not to affect the outcome of the election – presumably in a negative way for the senior Biden.

“So, here’s the thing about members of the media now screaming about the undermining of democracy,” Shapiro continued on Twitter.
“F*** right off. Your job was to bring relevant information to the American public. You ignored it, because you are largely Democratic mouthpieces,” the Daily Wire editor added.

Shapiro recounted the multiple meltdowns from the media over anything Trump said or did, specifically noting the attacks on the president’s concerns over mail-in voting.
“You spent months claiming Trump would burn the mailboxes to stop voting. You suggested Stacey Abrams was governor of Georgia due to voter suppression. You openly screamed for censorship from social media directed at alternative sources of information you refused to cover,” he tweeted.

Former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer agreed that the media is “totally broken.”

Shapiro rounded out his rebuke by noting that there are “many kinds of threat to democracy.”
“As a famous former newspaper once said, ‘Democracy dies in darkness,'” he added, referring to the official slogan The Washington Post adopted in 2017.
“You guys are, all too often, the people turning out the lights,” Shapiro concluded.

Twitter users agreed with Shapiro’s mic-drop tweets calling out the media, but many worried that there will ultimately be no consequences for Biden, Democrats and even the complicit media.
Democrats literally projected onto Trump everything that Eric Swalwell and Hunter Biden were doing in their effort to delegitimize his presidency.
The worst part is, they just might get away with it.

This is what the term “enemy of the people” actually looks like in practice.
