Here they come. Galloping toward us. The Washington Deep Swamp creatures are on their way back. Possibly overflowing the swamp this time, to spill into more of America.

The slinking denizens of the Swamp will be rising, yawning from their period of reduced activity, now poking their heads out from their niche hiding-places. Preparing to resume their old corrupt ways which, for many, were interrupted by Donald Trump. Trump was not one of the Swamp Rats, which is why the unscrupulous cadre was furious with him.

For these people it’s all about power, about who controls. These largely unelected bureaucrats devote themselves to rules and procedural correctness, at the expense of people’s needs.  Trump’s campaign to drain this swamp put him in the role of disruptor, intending to undermine the darkside of America’s professional civil service. This covert gang was, and is, a “Deep State” of federal employees, mostly regulators and administrators who consider themselves to be the backbone of policy-making for the nation. Over the years, they have pursued and captured nearly unlimited power. The DeepState has sought to become the fourth branch of government, and they opposed Trump at every turn. They believe they “know what’s best” for us mere citizens.

These Swamp Rats abhor oversight from elected officials, as they create rules designed to have the power of law. They employ the use of fines to drive people into compliance and to fund their nefarious schemes. The Rats rely on our system where elected politicians will be here today and gone tomorrow. They hide behind their unions, which fight tooth-and-nail to protect them.

Now, with Trump leaving and the Old Democrat Guard coming back, the DeepState will slip quietly back into power. Here is what that means going forward:

The Rats will leak information to the press, providing incorrect impressions of the issues, and undermining the work of politicians who do not kowtow to them. They will attempt to destroy any person or group that opposes them.  Spying on U.S. citizens will be one of their weapons. Files on adversaries will be compiled by leaders of the intelligence services, possibly for purposes of blackmail. They will drag their feet and not carry out the orders of elected officials they disagree with. All this puts immense pressure on some officials to collude with deep-staters.

What else will we see, swarming down the pike at us? Well, with new life, these Swamp Rats will not hesitate to impose severe restrictions, usually in the form of regulations, fines and jail-time, especially when they know the victim has little money to fight them. The rats will try to influence the House and Presidency by pushing Democrat bosses to strip ethicists of leadership and committee positions. They will summon their obedient media allies to ruin reputations that took decades to build.

The nation’s lawmakers must navigate a tar-pit of corrupting influences. Vast amounts of money will be raised against conservative candidates.  Not much will get done in the House, and maybe all of Congress, except legislation to push the nation deeper in debt and to expand the growth of government; the swamp creatures, you see, need a comfy financial career path. Look for the federal debt to exceed $30 trillion, and soon.

In Biden’s Executive Branch, we will see the dominance of political maneuvering and payback to the extreme political left, but not much principled leadership. Hundreds of millions of new dollars will be pumped into the Department of Education, to re-invigorate the old Obama-Biden campaign to indoctrinate our children with leftist propaganda and “participation trophy” thinking. This, in spite of the fact, as stated by Sen. Alexander, “Americans don’t want a national school board…or a national school (superintendent)”.

The Deep Swamp wants to control the population, so look for “lockdown” mandates in the Chinavirus battle. But what the Swamp Rats should do is to tell people what they can do, then let them have the freedom to decide for themselves.

Clearly, Washington is dysfunctional, which Deep Staters like, because they thrive on navigating and engineering the chaos. Many of them embrace the New World Order—a “secretly emerging totalitarian world government”. Let’s not allow the Swamp to infiltrate that on America.
