If the corrupt media’s virtual blackout of any involvement Barack Obama may have had in employing the U.S. intelligence apparatus to spy on his successor, both before the 2016 election and after, doesn’t convince you of how fiercely they will defend the man, nothing will.
The media’s slobbering love affair with the former president may have cooled from the inferno that raged during his time in the White House, but anyone who dares to criticize Obama today is quickly deemed persona non grata, even if it’s one of their own.
Just ask MSNBC analyst Howard Fineman, who came under fire for suggesting that Obama’s massive ego was comparable to Trump’s while commenting on the former president’s new book — a book that is every bit as divisive as the man.
Fineman tweeted: “I’m an #Obama fan, but can’t help but noticing that he lectured #Trump about ego management on the eve of publishing a 700-page FIRST VOLUME of his own autobiography.”

Seemingly aware that he was touching a third rail of liberal politics Fineman tried to couch his observation somewhat by declaring himself an Obama fan.
Fineman’s reference to Obama lecturing was prompted by an 60 Minutes interview, where the former president was asked for his advice “in this moment” for Trump?
“Well, a president is a public servant. They are temporary occupants of the office, by design, Obama said. “And when your time is up then it is your job to put the country first and think beyond your own ego, and your own interests, and your own disappointments. My advice to President Trump is, if you want at this late stage in the game to be remembered as somebody who put country first, it’s time for you to do the same thing.”
Of course, Fineman’s real sin was distracting from Obama trying to pressure Trump into foregoing his legal rights and accept the outcome of the marred election.
Obama proved to be the most divisive president in modern history — although the Trump-hating media driving the discord with the current administration may beg to differ.
He set race relations in this country back a half century, if not more, with smarmy lectures directed at (white?) Americans who “cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them,” and his autobiography, “A Promised Land,” was more of the same.
Obama fell back on race throughout the book, using it as a crutch.
“It was as if my very presence in the White House had triggered a deep-seated panic, a sense that the natural order had been disrupted,” he wrote.
The former president seized on Trump pushing questions about his birth to attack the president’s supporters as racists.
“For millions of Americans spooked by a Black man in the White House, he promised an elixir for their racial anxiety,” he claimed.
As for Fineman, given the reaction to his tweet, the analyst will surely not make the same mistake again of failing to properly prostrate himself before the left’s messiah.
Here’s a sampling of the beatdown he received from Twitter:
God, just say Obama’s “uppity,” and get it over with Howie.

Obama’s ego never endangered the health and security of Americans.

And? No man runs for President without a healthy ego.
Just so happens Obama earned his cred. Baby Hands not so much.

Howard, when you’re the first Black president, you can lecture Obama about ego. Not otherwise.

Are you *really* comparing the length of the autobiography of the FIRST and ONLY Black president in US history to…Trump’s ego? Have you lost your mind? Do you really not understand that this memoir is also a history of race in America? Delete this. Seriously.
