U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez continued the Democrat tradition of insulting Americans by referring to President Donald Trump’s supporters as “chumps.”

The New York congresswoman leveled her condescending jab in reaction to a pro-Trump caravan traveling across a New York City bridge last weekend, echoing the same word used by Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden when describing anyone who didn’t support him.

Caravans of vehicles sporting Trump flags and signage popped up across the country in the last days leading up to the election, as honking cars and trucks appeared in “Trump trains” on roadways and, in the case of New York City, even bridges.

A parade of Trump supporters made their way over New York City’s Whitestone Bridge on Sunday and was caught on video, showing supporters standing on their cars in the light rain and essentially taking over the road.

Though Black Lives Matter and other left-wing protesters who blocked roads and impeded traffic in the last few months were never called out by Ocasio-Cortez, the lawmaker apparently had no issue with insulting Trump supporters.

“I took the Throggs Neck. Heard there was a pileup of chumps on the Whitestone,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted, referring to an alternate bridge in the Bronx and in response to a video posted by a Twitter account “@m1dn7ghtrider” using  “Midnight Rider” and “Chump for Trump!”

Naturally, Ocasio-Cortez’s Twitter followers applauded her expert shade-throwing skills and many added to the pile-on by hoping for the worst for the caravan participants.

Biden called his opponents “chumps” while speaking in Pennsylvania last month.

“I’ll work as hard for those who don’t support me as those who do, including those chumps with the microphone out there,” the Democrat said at a drive-in rally in Bucks County where he was practically upstaged by Trump supporters honking their horns nearby during his speech.

Biden’s rally seemed to turn into a Trump event at some point.

More than 650 vehicles took part in a massive “Trump Train” parade in Greenbrier County, West Virginia, on Saturday and another group gathered in Raleigh, North Carolina. There were some issues with another caravan in New Jersey.

Even the Amish participated in their own version of a Trump caravan.

Trump’s supporters did not take kindly to the name-calling by Democrats which did not work out so well for Hillary Clinton in 2016. They slammed Ocasio-Cortez for her insult and called her out as an “embarrassment.”
